Good food, higher prices but well worth it.
Kind of hidden in night time.... keep looking or asking around.

This unprepossessing little restaurant is full of surprises! From the outside, it looks more like a small store than a restaurant, and upon entering, one is surprised to see memorabilia and costumes of Catholic clergy. This place looks like it was converted from an old Spanish house, with its wooden floors and quaint architecture. The menu is extensive and covers several types of cuisines. We picked a few dishes that looked interesting, and they were all very good. Simply cooked, simply presented, but delicious and flavorful. The ambiance was cozy and quiet, the waitstaff discreet. One can easily spend a few hours here with a good book or engage in a quiet chat with a friend. Treasures like this are hard to find!

Ate here... and the price is expensive as was expected since it's in a tourist spot. We ordered the sinigang with maya maya and that was great. The adobo was a bit on the sweet side for our taste (preferred the traditional soy sauce/more vinegar taste).

Ambience is nice and the place is clean.

Frequenting this place whenever we are near or within Intramuros, this resto doesn't fail to amaze me with the numerous and variety of items in their menu. From the auspices of the Catholic Bishops of the Philippines, their menu of food items are mostly named after the various cardinals of Manila with the latest I've seen is Cardinal Tagle's Special Sylvanas - a dessert / sweet treat.

Their meals are not so big in terms of serving but just enough to satisfy one's craving or hungy stomach. I guess their serving is a way to avoid one of the seven deadly sins of gluttony. Their food is healthy and are friendly to those who are watching their diet - with their desserts not too sweet and their meals taste so healthy to eat being careful with their seasonings - nothing too salty or bland - a taste that's just right.

Meal prices can be thought of expensive specially if you're looking for a lot of servings for each order for the set price on the menu. But their meals are totally a treat with "lugaw" not too oily or salty; "crispy pata" that are lean and meaty; desserts that are not annoyingly too sweet and so on and so forth.

Half of the food attendants are handicapped, either deaf or mute - a way for the restaurant to help the community. The kitchen is indeed run by a nun and complimented by a good natured restaurant staff.
