White Knight Hotel Intramuros
Ranked #90 of 109 Hotels in Manila
Reviewed March 12, 2012

if there's a hotel or venue that could be "the perfect wedding place", I will certainly nominate white knight hotel intramuros. the hotel has the right ambience and setting for a wedding with 50 to 100 guests. from the staircase leading to the rooms down to the lobby entrance and the coffee shop, it;s like a tailor fit venue where couples would feel treated like a royalty time to its back drop. a photo of a bride descending fro the staircase is a moment to be cherished as the red carpet blends into the theme. likewise its portico area with its open space garden and function rooms provide a distinct setting of nostalgia contributing to the romance in the air. best of all its really cheap as in very affordable for 100 guest, your 50,000 pesos goes a long long way compared to twice or thrice that in other venues. definitely recommended to cost conscious couples to be!

The hotel is situated in the Plaza San Luis complex in the heart of Intramuros. It is in a great location for seeing all of the sights that Intramuros offers all within walking distance. There is hardly any traffic around this area, so it is ideal for relaxed sightseeing. The hotel staff were all welcoming and helpfull I give this hotel 2 1/2 *

the hotel is located in one of the historical district of manila. close to fort santiago, luneta park, view of the pasig river and close to one of the better malls SM in manila and metro manila forshopping, which is walking distance from hotel. Taxi is easy to get. there is also parking for private cars. Old churches like St. Augustine and the Manila Cathedral are points of interest. Along the vicinity of the hotel is casa manila which is a representative of an old spanish house/home during the 19th century preserved with all its glory. one just have to close their eyes and imagine its glory during the spanish regime! The restaurants DelMitre, italian and filipino cuisine and Barbara's buffet lunch or dinner show with kultura, filipino folk dances is much to be desired as well. The hotel offers hot water, air conditioner, coffee and tea server in the room and spacious enough for two to three people. Ample closet space as well. All together a bargain for the price they offer! The staff is friendly and is of utmost assistance. It has a patio bar with live music every night either for dancing or just to relax and listening pleasure. Excellent!

Room Tip: if you are older request for the ground floor room. there is no elevator. only stairs that resembl...

I feel so comfort to stay in your hotel. The first time I checked the hotel on website, I think the hotel was very unique. And when I saw it real, I really love this place. Very strategic hotel and I like the architecture. But I hope I will have a window in the room so we can see the beautiful garden you had.

And I also thank you for your service especially at the receptionist. I feel very assisted with your staf. They help me to find a cab even help me to ask the moa management if they have a concierge to keep my luggage there.

The best hotel in Intramuros!

Nothing wrong apart from the noise coming from next door where they are working in a new building and they kept working at night time.At 24´20 they were still working with heavy machinery and it seems that is going to be on for long months, cos this building started only a few weeks ago and its not going to be finish soon.I complained so they change my room for another one facing the patio above the air conditioned machine from the restaurant that make the hell of a noise, so couldn´t sleep at all.
Breakfast was poor for the money you pay.We asked for fruit of the season and got an small banana cutted in two pieces!!! Fruit of the season?,it had to be war season!!!
Apart from that, there´s very few restaurants , bars or shops around so if you want to eat properly out of the hotel theer´s quite a distance to walk to them.

Spent eight nights here with my wife in a 'suite' room which was not really a suite in the usual hotel sense but a very large room (with a separate storage room) with a comfortable queen size bed. The bathroom was of a good size with a walk-in shower (no bath). The hot water pressure was very low resulting in a disappointing shower experience but passable nevertheless. This really was the only poor feature of this hotel as the smiling and welcoming service was more than excellent and nothing was too much trouble. No lift/elevator but only three floors (G+2) and the staff always assisted with baggage etc. The restaurant menu was extensive and catered for all tastes and nationalities- the quality of the food and service was excellent. There was live music every night on the terrace by high quality musicians with a bar service that was outstanding - the cocktail barman was a treat. This hotel is part of a beautifully refurbished spanish plaza (San Luis) with the hotel, shops, restaurants and cafes clustered around the inner courtyard. The plaza is opposite the beautiful church of San Augustin, monastery & museum and is well worth a visit (100 pesos). This is within the walled city of Intramuros which has maintained it's Spanish colonial character and architecture and is a real oasis from the madness of downtown Manila (Ermita, Malate etc) although that is a short taxi ride away-as are the main shopping malls, beautiful parks, convention centre and oceanarium. This is a budget hotel that provides a quality of overall experience that we fund exceptional - it is thoroughly recommended!

I'd previously stayed in Pasay & wanted to see Intramuros. The hotel is a little difficult to find, but it's a worthwhile find. The hotel is set in an older style complex & is charming. The thing that strikes you all the way through your stay is how friendly the staff are at the hotel. The staff really make you feel so welcome. The room we had was a good size & had loads of old world charm. The hotel location is much quieter being within Intramuros, but the downside is that there are not too many restaurants or bars nearby. It was fascinating to see the old Spanish quarter of Manila. I would have no hesitation in recommending the White Knight as a hotel, but only if you want to experience the old Manila & don't want to be close to the action. I'd certainly stay here again as the staff were so warm & hospitable.
