“Value For Money & Comfortable”

I loved this hotel. It is a simple hotel with very good staff and good food. A great little pool area where you can sit and work on your laptop. The rooms were cleaned, the towels fluffy, the bed comfortable, the room spacious enough for two people and maybe a little kid, verandah outside to sit, smoke and work and a restaurant which was always busy. I'm from Kuala Lumpur and for the same price you cannot get this in my town. The hotel is walking distance to malls, hospitals, some bars and the Taft Avenue street where lots of bars, restaurants, hotels, casinos which are catered for the Asian tourists from Japan, Korea, Taiwan etc. It is about 20 minutes by taxi to the Metro Manila area where Makati and the expats hang out at high class malls. The hotel is also very close to the national museum, the old Manila (intramuros), Rizal Park/Shrine and Fort Santiago. If you are someone looking to be walking distance to the party areas where the expats hang out, this is not the place to stay. Go to Makati or Quezon City. If you want to be a real traveller and want to see and hang with locals, this is the hotel to be at. My local friend and other expats told me this hotel is too far from the Makati areas. What it means is it takes about 20 minutes by taxi where traffic is light and apparently could take about 3 hours if traffic is bad. I was lucky there was hardly traffic all times when I went there. I find it funny people living in Manila measure distance by traffic. In my KL town, it can take up to 45 minutes to get to downtown KL to party from the burbs. All in all, the hotel is a good place to stay except for location if you are looking at the expat party places. Saw a mixed crowd here, families, old white guys with their "girlfriends", me the single Asian traveller, Filipino families etc. Worth it absolutely!

It's our first time to stay here and we're satisfied. We book their superior room.
Pro's
Very good location besides a historical Paco Park cemetery. The hotel is near Mall and walking distance to some tourist spot. You can ride jeep going to Roxas Blvd. for a good bay walk then to Luneta, Intramuros and China Town. Price is moderate. Clean room and spacious with good amenities. They have small pool for relaxing especially during Hot season. Bathroom is clean and big but no bathtub. Fast and Good service.
Con's
Expensive food in their My Kitchen restaurant. A 2,000.00 pesos deposit is required upon check-in but refundable upon checkout if No drinks were taken in their fridge or any item broken in the room...hehehehe. goodluck!

Room Tip: There is Wifi in room. We stay at room 218 and reception is good. Try to stay overlooking the Paco...

We choose this hotel as it was described as a quiet place to stay compared with other centrally located hotels - and it was absolutely true. One side of the hotel is facing directly to Paco park and the other side is just a side road with few traffic. On the other hand it is very close to main places of Manila - Rizal park and Intramuros. The rooms are quite spacious with large bathrooms, lots of storage space, large LCD, fridge and A/C. Unfortunately the WiFi is available only in the main lobby. A big plus was it's own pool which was opened till almost 10 pm, which you appreciate during hot Manila's day. But the top of the hotel offers is its restaurant - My Kitchen by chef Chris. Not only original food in large portions but very very delicious. A separate chapter to write about :) The hotel had a lot of attentive staff so there was always someone to respond to our needs. Check-in and check-out was really fluent. We're staying in again before leaving Philippines.

Stayed at this hotel a few nights. Slightly on the downside the rooms are ok. They are clean and basic and have cable TV. Not luxurious but decent. But the bonus is that the staff are always pleasant and friendly. There are several food options and the food is nothing short of amazing. I think they have four good restaurants. Pool is great especially when the humidity is high to cool off. I would stay again.

I commend the chef for the excellent service rendered when we dined here last April. The food was sumptuous without being overwhelming and I would definitely recommend this place to my friends so that they too may be able to feast on the mouth-watering delicacies served here.

The hotel is in an old, uninteresting corner of Manila, but it really is an oasis with beautiful pool, staircase, good large room and great food, coffee. It's right next door to a monument for their national hero, and its not too far to intramuros (walk or taxi). The price is a bargain.
