My overall experience at Oasis wasn't fantastic. After traveling Southeast Asia for 4 months, this was among the worst on my trip. I didn't meet a single staff member that smiled at me, the air-con in my room was broken (fan did not blow hard enough to circulate air and spewed leaking water), the internet didn't work in room, and there was major construction going in in adjacent rooms which contributed to a poor quality of sleep (they worked well into evening hours).
On the plus side, the hotel was a pretty good price and the food, while expensive, at MyKitchen Restaurant was good
If you're really on a budget and are completely opposed to hostels, this could be ok for you. But if you're willing to pay a couple of bucks extra, I recommended looking elsewhere.
