“Good place to ride out a typhoon!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2013

I stayed here with my daughter in December '12. Originally we planned on only staying one night but due to a typhoon and cancelled flights, stayed for three nights.
We had two different rooms and it was like staying in two completely different hotels.
The first room was down stairs. It was a very average room - clean, but old, run down and noisy. Nothing that would inspire a longer stay.
Then the typhoon hit and we had to extend our stay. We moved to an up stairs room for the same price (I think it was a P2000 promo) and this room was amazing - leather couches, spacious, great bathroom. Really felt like two completely different hotels.
The restaurant is expensive but serves decent food, staff are friendly and helpful. They tried contacting the airlines to see if our flights were able to depart.
Wifi reception is poor and not what you except for the price you pay.
Good pool.

We've spent 2 nights in this hotel and really loved it. In a quite location but still very central Manila. Even the standard rooms are good so the deluxe must be great! The restaurant is lovely ( but also pricy!). The swimming pool is nice and quite big to be in the center of a big city. Staff is very friendly and helpfull

As a first time customer, the name of the hotel did not dissapoint. Indeed an oasis in the urban jungle. Every service you get is matched with a smile with a warm welcome.

The food is amazing and the staff are all equiped with experience and very professional.

The quarters are very homey and very comfy.

Ovrerall, my family and I would love to spend another holiday at the Oasis.

The good: Clean room with split air conditioning

The bad: most other things - My room for three nights was "upgraded" and I saw the original dungeon rooms after complaining about the noise and they are very tired rooms and don't even receive wifi due to thick walls. In my room I entered and there were no towels, I had to request some. The wifi did not work at all the first night, the rest of the time it was constantly slow and dropping out due to too many users. The wifi was fine when I woke up at 6am but by 9am was unusable. The only thing worse than no wifi is bad wifi with pages constantly timing out.

My room had a connecting door through which I could hear everything my neighbours were saying and their TV, so I had no privacy myself knowing this. On the other side of my room was where the maids would go to get supplies and talk to each other, so that was also noisy, constantly hearing a squeeky door and voices talking. All I want from a hotel is peace and quiet and wifi so I can work, and I left this hotel feeling very unsatisfied. The breakfast was also nothing special, it said it came with mango juice, and it was some terrible watered down stuff that was not really mango juice and this is from the famous overpriced restaurant. The neighbourhood is unsafe to walk through in the evening. They had no paper next to phone to tell you what number to dial for reception, or for room service.

The photos online look like a different hotel.

I moved to Leesons residences which is a cheap and nasty place at 900 pesos a night online, and while the room is definitely a big step down and has a boxy noisy aircon, the wifi is solid as a rock.

Room Tip: Avoid room 217

I stayed in Oasis last June. The facade wasnt good but when I enter the lobby, the staffs are very friendly..I feel at home and safe..The guards, front desk staffs and the housemen assisted me with a very friendly smile..Their welcome drinks has a lot of options which I really loved. The set breakfast was amazing too. We were checked in, in room 315 facing the paco park. Not much vehicle were running through so I got a good sleep..
We will definitely go back to Oasis Hotel. It's value for money with a very good standard.

this was a wonderful hotel with a very friendly staff. It was raining one time when I wanted to go out, and they went out of their way to find me an umbrella to use. Very large bathrooms and rooms with a fridge, hot water and a large flat screen TV with every channel you could possibly think of. The WiFi worked ok as long as you were in the lobby area, as I could not get wifi in my room. The pool was large and deep but it lacked lounge chairs in which to lay back and read a book. Plenty of tables and chairs which you could sit and have something to eat or drink, but I wish they had a place to lay back on. They had a wonderful breakfast and the restaurant had plenty of good food items on the menu, but was a bit pricey. The location was good and if you wanted to catch the sky train, it was about a 10 min. walk to the United Nations stop. Also around this stop was located a Jolly Bee and a Chow King in which to get something to eat. I did receive a complementary deluxe room from a friend of mine, but changed to a standard room after that, as it was much cheaper.

Nice hotel with extremely helpful and friendly staff, rooms were very very spacious, clean but basic and roof did leak a little on me during my sleep in the heavy rain on the third floor. Slight mildew smell and noisy airconditioner. Not many restaurants or shops within 500m so take into account costs of dinner and breakfast at the very nice but pricey (for Manila) restaurant that is part of the hotel.
