“really nice hotel for a first impression of manilla”
Reviewed April 27, 2013 via mobile

Really nice room, nice atmosphere, perfect and charmcharming staff. If it would be for the location (dodgy area) it would be the best place in manilla. The restaurant is also really good just missing a little bit more of local food.

Not much to look at from the outside, but great once you open the front door. Rooms are big and clean. Pool and court yard area are awesome. Full service pool side I find to be rare. The Oasis has it. You might see a cochroach but you are in Manila and they are not sleeping with you! Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is a little expensive but good. Great bang for buck.

Stayed an extra night as businesses closed for a holiday mid week. Close to government buildings. Decent food. Steps are pretty steep so request ground floor if you don't like to hike. There is no elevators. And I had a bunch of dive equipment on my way to Indonesia.

Close to Dept of Tourism & other government buildings. Robinson's mall is full of good restaurants and shops. Checked out Manila Bay during Sunset hour and its a nice walk / view.

Room Tip: Steps are pretty steep so request ground floor if you don't like to hike. There is no elevators...

I only booked up one day before my arrival on the 19th April. I cheekily asked for an upgrade as i had missed out on the best promotional rates.

The welcome was genuine, the upgrade from standard to superior room was honoured and i can say that this is one of the best value and pleasant city hotels i have stayed in anywhere.

Superior rooms are huge at 45sq m . Spotlessly clean , good air con , king size bed, flat screen TV . Great bathroom .

The hotel has a great advantage in it's price range ..it has a swimming pool and also a fantastic bistro/cafe called "My Kitchen " by Chris ? All the food i had was superb.

Will recommend this place to everyone.

Have stayed here several times now. I highly recommend it, for value and standards. Even the basic rooms are fine and the Deluxe are lovely. The staff could not be more friendly or helpful and I now see them as friends. I was really puzzled to see one review here in which the writer claimed not have been allowed to have food brought in--absolute nonsense, as long as you eat it in the room it's fine and the hotel will happily give you cutlery and napkins to eat it with! This hotel has to be one of the best deals around.

Room Tip: The ones overlooking Paco Park are my favourites.

We would highly recommend the Oasis Paco Park to anyone wanting to stay in Manila. The Oasis offers what has to be the best value in the capital: rooms are stylish (and huge - we had a deluxe), the pool is excellent, as is the service, and the prices are exceptionally low for the standards.

We liked the area too: central yet very quiet, on a side street along Paco Park (an easy landmark for taxis).

The only downside worth mentioning is that food and drinks are comparatively pricey for Manila but then no one is forcing you to eat and drink in the hotel so this is a more of a comment than a criticsim.

I have been staying at this Hotel for aprox. 20 Years but missed staying in 2012. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and fresh the updating had accomplished. The staff was very friendly and helpful . Especially Mae Anne Caro who helped sort out a missed communication on my part quickly and resolved the issue. Especially enjoyed the large pool . Across the street was a beautiful park that was well maintained and many nice flowers and plants and a old Church that was very nice inside.
