We really enjoyed our visit. We headed straight to the giant Aldabra tortoises where our son loved feeding them. The staff were pleasant and helpful and lots of information boards. Next stop was the cafe and then the orchid garden. Our son read the map and took us on the tour around and though not large it was beautiful and peaceful. Our highlights were the tortoise, the goose enclosure, the living rainforest and the the smell garden. For only 100 to enter and kids under 12 free. Well worth a visit and a short walk from town

I just didn't understand the place . no good sign boards , the map which was given at the gate with ur entry fee was like a gigzo puzzle . understood nothing from it .

not all the plants and trees are marked , saving grace was the birds you see at the property . blue pigeon can be seen quite often .

wish it was better organised

The Seychelles National Botanical Gardens are very interesting, not only consisting of some local specimens (for instance, coco de mer), but also (and I think the main attraction is) Seychelles tortoises (Aldabra giant tortoise)! Make sure to bring mosquito repellent with you. There used to be a bar inside the Botanical Gardens I believe it's closed now, so don't expect to be able to grab a bite there.

Absolute worth visiting when in Mahe!
A lush and peaceful garden where you can see beautiful and rare flowers and green plants. And of course the famous and rare Coco De Mer coconut plant.
It was also fun seeing the big turtles in the park, although I would have liked it better seeing them free in their natural environment.
I highly recommend everyone to use mosquito spray as there were a lot of them in the humid conditions with the plants!

Worth a visit if you enjoy tropical vegetation, birds and huge fruit bats. Beautiful trees and a small cafe to rest your weary feet. Definitely worth visiting and feeding the giant tortoises.
