If a visitor had time for only 1 restaurant, I would recommend Marie Antoinette, not just for the good food (especially the mango salad) but also for the unique ambience. As soon as you sit at the table, you seep into the history of the island. The service is courteous and efficient. If you have kids, they will love the tortoises.

with lovely ambience; can be seated inside or out - all very lovely. Be sure to try the octopus stew - best on the island

This place is obviously one of those "local" places that relies on the tourists. We enjoyed the creole dishes and the fruit bat curry was very interesting. Because it's sort of a buffet, all the dishes tended to seem very similar. But, all in all it was a worthy stop.

Marie Antoinette Restaurant is the best Creole restaurant in Seychelles. Luckily they won't fully booked on the night that we went. The ambience was nice, both room were beautifully decorated.
Both my husband enjoyed a huge variety of Creole dishes, the best thing is that its buffet!! You can eat as much as you can with the same amount of price. The waitresses served us with warm.
The most interesting thing is that this restaurant has many huge tortoises!!!
