“Excellent Creole Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 5, 2012

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local. We made the booking in advance for dinner. There is a set menu that includes about ten dishes including salad, starters and main course. The creole food flavors are very similar to indian food so we really enjoyed it. The food is value for money (250 SCR) as one menu is enough for two people. Loved the parrot fish and mango salad. Did not enjoy fish stew.

“Just this original experience in Seychelles.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2012

In a city where we found the locals being rude and disrespectful towards tourists, it was a pleasure to visit this old restaurant and to be welcomed by the lady owner. The food was not to our taste, but for sure it had some originality to it. A lot of locals gather to eat there too.

“Good food and great host”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Visited this restaurant on a day trip with kids to Victoria. Lovely lady hosted us and made us feel like we had just walked into her house. A simple set menu was offered with typical Creole cuisine at a great price in comparison to other restaurants on the island. (250 rupees each).

Ask to see the tortoises too! Kids were fascinated!

“Good place to eat!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2012

Recommended by many of the island locals, we decided to sample it.
I would advise booking to avoid disappointment.
The restaurant is set off the main road and is beautiful. It is very open and inviting.
There is no choice in what you order as it is a set menu set out like tapas.
Simply order drinks and then the food arrives.
It is heavily fish based but very good.
There was a lot of it and we couldn't manage it all.
Very friendly staff and good service.
The chilli is very very hot - beware!!
