Pleasant Stay BUT will never stay here again..Beware of traps!!!!!

3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Nov 19, 2012
I came back a week ago from a 4d3nights stay at the adaaran prestige. The hotel property is very nice and close to the airport, about 20 mins speedboat ride. We had booked two sunset water villas which was requested that we receive it next to each other. While a very simple request that had been confirmed before booking the hotel was not offerd to us right away and we had to put our foot down to get that request. Additionally, While we were on an all inclusive pacakage, where we had confirmed with the hotel an additional drinks package for the room as part of the all inclusive package (i.e 6 beers+ hard liquor service in the room) the hotel managment did not honourtheir commitment. The sales guy (mr. Angelo perreira, ronda) had committed us that they would provide us drinks in the room as well as part of the all inclusive package before we had done the booking and assured us that this service would be provided. On check in the staff said they cannot provide this service and we would have to use the main bar!!! I was not to happy to learn about that as we were paying more than 1000 usd a night and didnt get top quality service. I would like to drink and njoy view from water villa rather than being stuck in a bar!!!!Other than this incident as well, the hotel has a lot to learn when it comes to 5 star quality service. Hotel staff keep stopping you from being yourself by endless number of rules that they have especially in their pool and beach area. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Also, the booze as part of the all inclusive package includes really bad quality vodka not even smirnoff!!!! Beware of what is committed to you by hotel and get it in writing if u must stay here with as much specifity as you can imagine. Otherwise be sure to be surprised....I will say the food was very good at the hotel but if you are planning a stay longer than 3 or 4 days would suggest you to select another hotel with more restaurants otherwise you might be eating relatively the same stuff....only 1 main restaurant in this hotel and a japanese restaurant which didnt look very exciting as we were vegetarians....BOOK ANOTHER HOTEL....YOU ARE SPOILT WITH CHOICES IN MALDIVES for the same or better price!!!!!,

very quiet and private, fair service, excellent food, large bathroom with outdoor large jacuzzi bathtub, well decorated villa, limited wifi area, rich of alive coral reefs and fishes and private breakfast by ur private pool and azure ocean. underwater world here is incredible and amazing like i would never find this experience by just snorkling in thailand. only lipe island could be comparable to this place.

Room tip: enjoy watching stars at night... you will never be tired of snorkeling and swim with fishes... underwater world here is incredible and amazing like i would never find this experience by just snorkling in thailand.

My husband and I stayed at Adaraan Prestige Vadoo during our honeymoon on 12-17 October for 6 nights. We arrived at the resort at 8am and the resort was fully booked which meant that we had to wait several hours until someone check out and then wait for it to be clean. Alhought this is understandable, it was pretty dissapointing that there wasn't anywhere to relax and catch few hours sleep. I ended up pushing 2 chairs together in the bar which was really uncomfortable, but I ended up falling asleep. I woke up a few hours later and noticed more and more honeymooners had arrived in the bar also waiting for their rooms to be ready. I think in total about 5 couples were waiting. When our room was finally ready I was a bit dissapointed with the room as the room was not clean properly. We requested for the sunset water villa - with full sunset view however this was not available. Our butler Santosh who was ever so friendly and polite and he offered to show us the Japanese style rooms to see if we liked them better. These rooms could have been offered to us at the beginning as an upgrade or at a price difference instead of waiting for hours for our room to be ready.

Other than that, the resort is beautiful and the staff are extremely friendly and polite however the Island is extremely small. You can walk around the Island in 5 minutes .

The food was very good most nights and presented well but I think the desert menu needs a little improvement. We had a couple of nights where the meat was overcooked. It would have been nice to see more seafood options on the menu.

I would highly suggest to do the fishing trip, it was so much fun.

Room tip: Choose the sunset water villa

My husband and I stayed at Vadoo for 4d3n at the end of September 2012. The ferry ride from the airport took only about 10 minutes. With that being said, this resort is very close to Male so you'll be able to see the city from this resort. We stayed at the sunset villa, which is facing away from the city and it was worth the premium. Although the resort is small, we didn't feel bored during our stay. Snorkeling outside the villa was fun with an abundance of coral and marine life literally right by the doorstep. The ambiance and the view are nothing short of what you would expect from the Maldives.

The Dive Point center is manned by excellent staff. The instructor and dive master were pleasant and knowledgeable. The boat crew was always looking out for interesting encounter at sea. We were lucky to snorkel with the manta rays due to their vigilance.

The only down side was the limited food selection. The menu is the same for both lunch and dinner and does not vary from day to day. Overall, we are very happy with our stay and would recommend Vadoo without hesitation.

Room tip: It's worth it to pay a little extra to stay at the sunset villa; there's a nearby resort in sight if you stay on this side. Due to the fact that this resort is relatively close to Male, if you stay in the sunrise villa, you'll be seeing the city or the restaurant/beach on Vadoo's main island.

Wow what a great place to go for your honeymoon. Its great place to relax and soak up the sun. The weather gets very very hot so you will make the most of the plunge pool at the front.
During the days we went snorkeling, scuba diving, watching movies or just sun baking.
As you walk down the jetty you will see dozens of fish, squid and even baby sharks!
The villas are amazing, very spacious, two TVs, huge bed and jacuzzi at the back. I would definitely recommend having your butler bring you dinner every night while you watch the sunset and the shoals of fish jumping out of the water. What else could you ask for?
Tips. You can't bring alcohol to the Maldives, while on the mainland go to a deli and buy snacks and soft drinks as they are very expensive on the island.

Room tip: Bring snacks and soft drinks from the mainland. Get your butler to bring you food.
