“Interesting for history buffs”

While as a non-Muslim I could only see the outside of this mosque, it was still really interesting to look at this old, beautiful mosque and the tombs outside. The lighthouse looking minaret out the front is also very interesting.

Has an extremely quiet feeling. The tombs of nobles long past can be found, while the tomb of the recently late president of the Maldives, Ibrahim Nasir, is present. The garden is spectacular. However, the Pond is unclean and the water fountain, once extremely beautiful, has now fallen into disrepair.

Islam was introduced to the Maldives by a morrocan trader in the 12th century and his tomb now stands in the grounds of the Hukuru Miskiiy Moqsue, The Mosque itself has many inscriptions and looks tranquil amongst the hustle/bustle of Maale.

It's a very nice place to visit in Malé. I just would like to see the interior since it's forbidden for non-muslins.

An old- temple made of corals converted to a Mosque.
Many tombs around, a must to see in the capital Male.
