An old- temple made of corals converted to a Mosque.

“Friday Mosque”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2012

One of the oldest mosques in the Maldives which dates back to when Islam was first introduced. The mosque itself and the tombs around it are built entirely from corals! Has many writings and engravings on the wall. Some of them don't really make sense in Modern Arabic anymore. Recommend you visit this if you are in Male.

In the crowd of the vivid city placed on a small island, This tiny mosqe is a Real surprise. High modern office buildings arourd and ten in few steps small quiet oasis, with some green and beautiful mosqe in the middle. It is posible to Enter to the grounds and look the wall decorations and delicacy of the artefacts. If in Male, "sacrifice" hali your and visit it.
