Description: Backed by 40 years of experience in various fine dining kitchens around the globe, Werner Kuhn set up El Cerdo KL, in the year 2005. The restaurant is well known to many as the No. 1 European style Pork Specialty eatery in Kuala Lumpur, focusing on traditional recipes. Having gathered many accolades for its outstanding food and service quality, the most popular item is "The Cochinillo Segoviano", a Spanish style roasted suckling pig dish that is served with the obligatory Plate Cutting Ceremony. Our slogan shouts out loud 'Nose To Tail Eating'.

Its a dream comes true for pork & innards lovers! It's rare to have a celebrity chef like Mr. Werner Kuhn hosting a non-halal high end restaurant in a Muslim country like Malaysia. The signature dish, spanish suckling piglet, comes with plates breaking rituals for good luck. That's too, does satisfy some pressure releasing fun for urbanites like us.

The selection of hams and wine does pair well with the mains. Only set back is the calories that comes with the delicassen.

Bon Appetit!!!

We always visit El Cerdo while we are in KL. The Suckling Pig is one of the most mouth watering food that I ever tasted. And also the attraction to cut the pig with the broken plate is so interesting.

Paella was actually bad. Too much oil and rice needed to be cooked a little more... I felt like I was chewing plastic.

Pork ribs were ok but too fatty as well. It was ok but not remarkable. Ice-cream was quite good. The service and ambience were great tho. But not likely to revisit.

My understanding is that El Cerdo is serving Spanish fare. I found it more a mixture of German / Spanish. However that said the food was good as entree we had the anchovies wrapped in bacon and 4 styles of pork sausages. For main we had the pork knuckle to share and couldn't finish the food. Staff were great and i would happily go back
