My husband and I tried this mall restaurant for some local Malaysian fare. We shared a chicken dish and a noodle dish. Both were delicious and huge portions. The chicken in particular was so perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the onside. It was also just perfectly seasoned. I can't remember the exact name of the dish, but it's one of their signature dishes.

We were at this restaurant for lunch on Saturday and it was jam packed. The place is in the mall, and it is loud and more family oriented. Definitely not a romantic or fine dining experience. It's a no frills place that's all about serving food.

Service was pretty awful by western standards. You have to flag someone down to order, and then they will only come by if they are delivering your food. Out two dishes were also served about 10 minutes apart. At the end of the meal, it took us a while to get someone to bring our check at the end. Relative to other Asian restaurants, I suppose this kind of service is expected for a casual establishment. Just come prepared.

We had a great lunch here of Beef Rendang, iced tea and ice campur. One of the best meals we had during our visit to Malaysia and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of a mall restaurant. Madam Kwan herself was there and it's easy to see why the chain is so successful. I would highly recommend a meal here.

We ate here based on an online foodie blog's recommendation. We went on a weekend night and it was jam packed with families. We were skeptical about getting a table, but they are extremely efficient at turning tables and we (two people) were seated within five minutes. We ordered the Beef Rendeng and Nyonya Laksa. Both were delicious but I especially loved the Rendeng. Service was as expected considering how busy they were. We had to flag a server if we needed anything but they were quick to come over and happy to accommodate. Would definitely eat here again if we had more time in KL. Side tip: there's a small cafe at the top of the escalators called Miss Kwan's- don't be fooled by this imposter! Look for the restaurant that will likely be completely full.

Never had such good satay chicken so far, other food was also good. May try chicken fried rice. It is bit noisy that you have to ignore if you want to have good meal. May be you have to wait for 10 minutes till they call you when the table is empty. But that does not take much since seating capacity is big an pd service is quite fast .

I'm a fan of their dessert, but since we are already in KLCC my wife suggested having dinner. The place is usually packed with people, so some waiting may be required. On that day, we didn't have to wait as only 3 of us. The rest of the group who are in large group even had to wait for 30 minutes for seat. The service can be prompt or slow, depending on the crowd. Ours was prompt. Their menu features good selection of nyonya cuisine, which is a hybrid of malay & chinese cuisines. Our starter was 6 sticks of satay, which was one of the best satay we had recently. Big pieces with no fat/skin, succulent spices and thick peanut sauce. Mains were their signature Nasi (rice Bojari, which comes with fried chicken, beef rendang / chicken in curry, sambal prawns and 3 coloured rice, all were good. Their dark soy sauce hokkien fried noodles were just normal, but the squids were fresh and soft. After dinner, we couldn't have the dessert as we're too full. Good place to visit, mind the price because of their location.
