Description: At Latest Recipe, diners can indulge in popular dishes that are prepared 'a la minute' (which means 'in a minute' literally) with personalised and individual servings of Malay, Indian, Chinese, Japanese and Western delights. Just watching the chefs in action as they dish out freshly cooked and piping hot food is enough to sharpen appetites for more good things to come. Unlike the usual buffet restaurants, there are no bulky chafing dishes in sight. Instead, the food is presented in cast iron pans, woks, chinaware or served in individual portions. Fans of Indian cuisine will revel in the Tandoori chicken, lamb, prawn with naan and other North Indian specialties. Sushi, Sashimi, Teppanyaki and many more exotic Japanese dishes are served daily. Dim Sum baskets are piled high next to piping hot noodles and fragrant stir-fries at the Chinese section whilst authentic BBQ seafood lines the Malay open kitchen. Desserts are a feast to the senses with decadent sweets including the Chocolate Fountain and the ever popular Teppanyaki Ice-Cream.

“Excellent 5* buffet dinner option”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

Firstly, I went there for a team dinner, hence price was out of our consideration set. It was a buffet we had.

Why do I rate it 5/5?
a. Superlative options for vegetarians (some 12 odd) set aside in one corner.
b. Multiple Live counters with many meats such as beef and some other seafood such as octopus etc there - that was new for me. They even had some 10 icecreams and some 30+ stuff to add (dry fruits / sweets) atop the ice cream. There was a waffle counter together with a chocolate-waterfall (with 10 types of fruits u could use as base).
c. Super fast water refills (no pushing you to buy an expensive Evian?)
d. The Indian veggie food tastes as good as in India - outside of an "Indian" restaurant, this is pretty neat.

I would go again for a team dinner.

“Dinner at le meridian latest recipe coffee house”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

When we walked in, it looks like a 5 star but when we went to the latest recipe coffee house it look not even 1 star. The set up like a normal canteen. And coming to the service, please do not ask but I love to tell you. Firstly we waited about 40 minutes to get our food. We were provided with a free starter soup which we never like it. We put it a side which was not cleared away. Table was a bit messy before our food arrived also very late. The staff was too busy and moreover the coffee house was hardly occupied with a few tables only. Then we ordered our drinks it came very late and we ordered our second drink, the drink never came at all. Finally we called our bill and went off. And told ourselves no more this place again.

“Very Good Buffet”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

Dined here many times and the buffet though expensive by comparison to other KL hotels is still good value with the choice of food available.
I hold the SPG privilege card which gives me good discount and there are also other deals on offer...this trip coincided with a 33% discount promotional offer for Fed Territory Day in Malaysia.
A La Carte menu is also a good choice & very good value.
Staff are attentive & the restaurant is bright and airy. View from the large picture window across to Lake Garden Park has become partially obstructed due to the recent building work opposite but this not spoil the overall experience.
One complaint from my wife was lack of hot veggie selection in the buffet, some good Indian dishes but she had to defer as they were too spicy. Salad bar was very good as was the dessert selection.
If you are seated near the freshly cooked station for seafood etc you will get the smell of the food cooking on the grill which can be a tad fishy so you may need to sit further away.
Other stations are really good cooking fresh pasta & also the Hainese chicken rice dish is excellent.J
Le Meridien has recently gone through a refurb in the lobby area and is looking really good, handy location at Sentral Station and a choice of other very good restaurants to choose from. The photo of the chefs in red jackets shown here is actually taken in the Favola Italian restaurant & not Latest Recipe as depicted.

“Good food and people”
Reviewed December 25, 2012

This is a very nice place to dine with family, friends or associates. Great variety of food choices , especially the buffet dinner. Environment is cozy and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Oops! I forgot the manager's name, he's just outstanding, goes all out to befriend and make you feel at home. Thank you, Mr Manager. Came he a few times already but will come again. One of the best restaurants to dine in town. Bravo. Cheers.

“Below Expectation Meal Experiences”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

I thought that the food selections were not as great as it used to be as compared to my previous visit, which was about 2 years ago. I could be wrong. But with that price, I thought i could have a better meal.....
