Yes, it's cheap, yes it's clean. But so are lots of other places. I quite enjoyed my stay here earlier this year, but it's not one of those really memorable places you find these days. The staff were all nice enough, but the place lacked, um, how can i say, lacked soul.

Keeps the rain off your head, doesn't cost much.

We decided to stay at YMCA in Penang, and we're glad we did. Not only it was affordable, but it was clean and the staff were amazing. They were prompt in everything. The room is rather spartan, but then it's nice.

It was a teribble experience ever. Me and my husband stayed in a double bed room with attached bathroom. The room condition is so worse....The bathroom door cannot be close and inside the bathroom, it was so dirty and you dont feel like want to use the bathroom. The aircon control was missing. Wat else when the room rate is myr118.. Is it value for money? Hope that they will upgrade the rooms. Their service is okey only. The staffs was not very friendly.

We stayed at YMCA KL for 3 nights,Its location is simply awesome,KL's travel hub "KL Sentral" is just 5 mins walk form YMCA which gives you access to anywhere in KL including LCCT and KLIA.Rooms are very clean, with flat LCD TV (unfortunately it did not work during our stay and whenever we brought this issue to front desk they gave us same reason that its under maintenance) A.C also gave us hard time during our stay..but TV or AC didnt bother me much as most of the time we were outside.Due to its location and cleanliness its proves to be best value for money.I would stay again here..

Room Tip: ask them rooms facing KL Sentral and make sure AC/TV/shower works properly

Being a YMCA's life member gives me the privilege for getting a room.We flew Air Asia and took the Air Asia bus which has a stop nearby the Hostel. This saved a lot of money. The Hostel is located very near to the Metro station and also shopping place.A lot of Indian restaurants are located nearby which are good. The room is compact sized and well maintained.I think the breakfast served there will not be sufficient as quantity is less.

It's a good choice if you have a little tight budget.
