Description: Introducing Opium KL! Established on 12th July 2014, this unique outlet focuses on Asian Oriental delights with a twist; such as Phoenix Dumpling, Fern Leaf Salad, Crispy Duck Noodles, Wagyu Beef Rendang, and the signature Beef Brisket & Tendon Stew just to name a few. Inspired by the Opium regimes of the east, the interior speaks for itself. Furnished with age-old artifacts such as an opium bed in the Rose Room, opium pipes and huge Chinese wine pots displayed vividly at the Communal area, the outlet aspires a 1930s-1960s look and feel. It's slogan, Eat Drink Man Woman takes a more subtle approach to distinguish Opium KL as the place for people to unwind and focus purely on the food, conversation and quality time.

The food was really delicious and the waiter Roy was really attentive and served very cheerfully. The atmosphere was really welcoming and is a very well
decorated place. The toilet was really clean as well. Overall, a very delightful experience.

Stumbled upon this restaurant on tripadvisor. Located on a busy restaurant street, we probaly also would have found it ourselves. reat athmospere. Super friendly staff. And the food DELICIOUS. Probably the best meal we had in Malaysia. Very reasonable prices. Will definitely recommend this place.

Before we made our way to stay at the Lanson Place, we had made reservations via the Table App (it was very prompt & reliable). We were then delighted to know that guests of Lanson Place were presented with discount coupons to dine at this stretch of F&Bs. Opium being one on the listing!

It was located at the end of the street that we were heading towards. The restaurant looked traditionally
Chinese with a beautifully decorated ambience that brought us back to our good old days...The section of Chinese medicine boxes, the curtained cubicles, the black & white movie (Bruce Lee kungfu show) running on a TV, the wall lamps, the wall-mounted paintings & ornaments of Opium holders, the guzheng instrument on a stage & many more. All were so pretty & unique.

We had a good table for 4 pax, we asked for the ceiling fan above us to be switched off, it was a cool day after all. We ordered on a sharing basis. The portion was generous. The drinks I had...lychee & herbs cocktail was very refreshing. My friend had the spice tea. The chef prepared the food well, very palatable, very presentable, the taste was unique, we tasted a bit of everything. Very appetizing indeed. As it was a holiday, I received a texted message earlier on that day, informing us that there wouldn’t be any buffet served. We were okay with that.

We had its duck platter, the deep fried lemon toufu salad was good. The pretty-looking Nasi Lemak’s rice was very fragrant, Chicken was flavorful & tender. Our dessert was marvelous! Fried banana topped with an ice cream. The taste gels very well indeed!

We had a good lunch at the Opium before we bid KL goodbye. This wouldn’t be our last visit. We will return to Opium whenever we are in KL.

We just got to KL.... hungry so we stepped out from our hotel and Opium was the first we came across.... Jonathan was a great host and told us about the buffet... my husband and I were skeptical but it was only about $6US. Turns out this place was great!!!
Jonathan went above and beyond to help us feel welcome in a new city!
