This hotel is a little tired, BUT the friendly helpful staff make up for the decor that could use a refurb. We stayed in a club room on the 26th floor, the room was very clean and everything worked. The club room is excellent value, well worth doing if you enjoy a pre dinner drink and canapés, so plentiful were these they we often skipped dinner. The location not in central KL close to shopping centres but nether the less it was an easy taxi ride to anywhere in the city.

We arrived without reservation, but the staff was very friendly and willing. They offered us a very comfortable family room with a kingsize bed and a single bed. There was enough room to fit in a nice desk, a little sofa and all our suitcases and still be able to move around. The bathroom is also spaceous with a separate room for the toilet and a bath. Plus a big seperate room for a rainshower. Breakfast is fantastic: all kinds of national and international food. The hotel spa is the most beautiful place I have visited. The treatment space is enormous with rainshower and private jacuzzi. Treatments are great.
Hope to come here again!

Seri Pacific is one of the older grand dames of KL, but still offers a great experience at a great price. The entranceway/lobby catches your attention upon arrival and so do the bright, modern, and intelligently-designed rooms as you enter. We had a gorgeous view of the Petronas Towers and really loved the whole layout. The bathrooms with walk-in bath/toilet and separate walk-in shower were a pleasant surprise as were the hidden mini-bar closet and the equally well hidden ironing equipment closet on opposite sides of the picture window. Very pleasant space.

We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet (except for the coffee--what's with hotel coffee in Malaysia anyway?). There was always plenty to eat and each morning offered a slightly different set of offerings than the previous day. Because we had an early departure on our final day, the kitchen staff put together two huge take-away breakfasts that we enjoyed at the airport. Very appreciated.

Now for the but...The neighborhood is really not the greatest. In fact, it's rather scary and intimidating. No friendly Malaysian smiles and greetings in this corner of KL. If you just cross the street to the LRT station for your connection into KL or just rely on taxis, then you will be fine, but the walk down to the monorail stop is not very pleasant. There are also few restaurants in the area, though we did find a tasty Chinese hawker center just a couple blocks from the hotel. I wouldn't let the location affect your decision making too much, though. Everything is wonderful inside the hotel; less so outside.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the towers--especially beautiful at night!

We stayed one night at this hotel and had some discount voucher, so we payed a bit less. But even without: it's worth the money! As we've already stayed at royal chulan kuala lumpur before: we enjoyed our stay here even more.

Pro:
Mrt stations of two different lines are really close
The pool is quite big and open early until late
The gym is well equipped, clean and open between 7am-11pm!!!
Breakfast is a feast! A lot to chose from and everything's fresh and refilled quickly. Nicest bread during our 5weeks vacation!
Comfy, clean beds
Integretated aircon which is quiet
Nice big shower plus bathtub
Nice view of the city (we asked to stay at a higher floor)
Nice staff
Really nice and cheap indian restaurant next to the mrt station (haydabarad or similar)

Really a good choice!

We stayed 3 nights in a Deluxe room. The rooms are good standard, clean and well maintained, bed is comfortable, aircon is cool and quiet. Rooms have separate shower and bathtub.
Breakfast offers a good selection and food is tasty. Staff are very attentive and polite. Car parking is available but limited. Only problem we found is that the toilets are extremely loud when flushing, you can hear the noise even from the next room. But apart from this the rooms are very quiet. Public transport is available but to get to downtown areas like Bukit Bintang will take around 40 minutes via Chow Kit MR station.
Overall we were quite pleased with this hotel and would return.

My friend and myself took a trip down to KL and this hotel was recommended by a friend. We stayed there for 2 nights and are very pleased with the hotel and its employees. Hotel room was clean and the spacious.employees were friendly and helpful. It is also located near a train station and the distance to the city was least than 15 mins. We will definitely come back and stay during our next trip there.

Paid around MYR300++ per night for a room in this hotel. Stayed here for 5 nights due to a tradeshow next door.
1) When checking in the counter staff were just plain rude and have the "Don't Care" attitute. When we asked questions, they were also sort of reluctant to answer too. Very bad service.

2) During daily breakfast, the coffee and tea is way lousy. No taste at all. Breakfast spread is also very bad considering they area 5 star hotel (according to the plaque at the front the lobby decipting 5 star). When I asked for green tea, they said it is chargebale drink. This is just lousy service charging green tea for breakfast when other 4-5 star hotels around the city will give it for free.

3) They also hire a lot of foreign workers as staff in the coffee house and other areas. One thing, please dress them up properly and not put them in a plain white shirt and black pants which also looks like crap.

4) Room wise is OK but it is beginning to show its wear and tear. Lots of stractches around the furniture area.

Don't stay at this hotel unless you have no choice.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the KLCC towers else you may end up with a room facing the currently renovated...

Dear SengKwong Y,

Thank you very much for taking time to share your experience during your recent visit to Seri Pacific Hotel.

I must apologize for the experience that you had during your arrival and also breakfast whereby, I can assure you that based on the many reviews, is not the level of service standards that we are accustomed to either. Those concerned have been reprimanded and brought to task. I have also directed the Heads of those departments to ensure that the staff are to provide better service. Once again my sincere apologies.

Once again thank you for your comments.

Best regards
