From the moment we walked in we knew this was a special place. The menu is not huge so selection is quite small but they more than make up for it with exceptional quality produce, amazing presentation and terrific flavours!
The wait between courses wasnt long and the service from the staff were friendly and attentive. All round an amazing restaraunt that has 5 star quality thats not at an extreme price compared to the 5 star hotels near by.
Its difficult to find, on the tripadvisor map it shows on the same side of street as weld shopping centre but infact its on the other side of road on a terrace with a few other dining places.

I agree with all of the previous reviews, this place offers great value for money. Chef-owner is one of the trio who started Nerovivo all those years ago (but not Andreas as stated elsewhere) and this place reminds me of early Nerovivo too.

Ingredients were fresh, of excellent quality and the taste of the seafood soup was terrific, although there were rather a lot of shells in amongst the edible bits. Vitello was tender and perfectly cooked. You can see the chefs in the open kitchen and it is kept spotless and they seemed very well drilled. We had limited time so we rushed to our table to get ahead of two very large groups of diners. Service was quick but as we left we noticed that the large groups had all been served too so the place seems to be very efficiently run.

Prices are very reasonable given the quality, but a wider range in the wine list would help a bit. They are clearly going for affordable quality but no Amarone was a bit of a disappointment. However the higher priced of the two Chianti's on offer was very drinkable.

Easy public parking in the underground car park. You drive past the Residents private entrance to the far side of the block to gain access.

What makes a great dining experience? Excellent food? Great wine? Attentive service? Fair price? Zenzero has them all.

For me, their signature dish Ancona-style Brodetto (seafood soup) was the pièce de résistance. While their Piedmonts beef ravioli was rich and savoury, their simple looking fettuccine (truffle-laden!) really stole the show. The pristine Dog Point sauvignon blanc and the perfumed Ata Rangi Crimson pinot noir went down very well with all the food that we had. To end the meal, we had a fairly good cheese platter with the excellent 2005 Castello di Brolio vin santo. Chef Paolo dropped by our table to have a short chat over a glass of vin santo, and then returned with a gorgonzola cheese platter for us, gratis!

Proprietor (Roberto) and maitre d' (Francois) were always seen walking around the restaurant, talking discreetly with diners and making sure that all the diners' requirements were well taken care of. Services from waiters/waitresses were attentive and super-friendly. Somehow, I had a feeling that they liked to changed plates/cutleries more often than necessary....but this is by no means a complaint.

Bottom line: We will return for another great dining experience in the near future. A worthy 5 stars to Zenzero!
