“Good option for business in KLCC”
Reviewed July 19, 2012

This hotel has a good standard and is reasonably priced. The location is excellent, 5 minutes walk from the Petronas towers (15 if you want to go via the air-conditioned walkway). It is a good alternative to more expensive places in the area. I was disappointed to get a room with "parking view" after I had booked (via Hotels.com) a room with "city view".
Breakfast is immense and offer every options from Indian food to Chinese and European.
The bar is maybe the lowest point, with very loud karaoke entertainment.

We spent 5 days in that lovely hotel and it was an amazing stay.

The hotel was very clean and nice the room was modern and nicly decorated! A bit small but comfy. With a nice view over the city and the patrons towers. We had a room in a high floor so we didn't notice the noise at all!
Only we noticed a funny smell as soon as we entered the lobby but we realized later that this is the saint they use!

The hotel is in the middle of the main attractions point (patrons towers - klcc mall - pavilion mall - suria mall - night clubs - bukit bintang ...) and 5 min walk to the mono train.

The breakfast had many nice choices, and the staff was amazingly helpful. They kept our bags in a safe place till our late flight time.

I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a nice professional hotel with a good rates.

Overall, I will stay there for sure during my next stay for kuala.

Room Tip: The higher the room, the nicer the view.

So good! So much assistance as we arrived.
Ten minutes later a fruit platter arrived, beautiful.
All staff were fantastic, especially Eric! So helpful and goes that extra bit to ensure guests are happy. And we are not suit wearing guests. He organised our checkout so our midnight flight was organised. Our bags were secured all day in the hotel, and a shower and towel were provided at7pm, far beyond checkout time but Eric and the Impiana were accommodating to this. Great job guys!

As for the room, it was faultless and breakfast was unreal!

Hilton, you could learn from this customer service. (yes, spent a few night previous in the Hilton kl).

Have been here at this property six times now over the last three years, always stay in a king room, have never been disapointed with the high level of service and the attention to detail that is always given. The staff in all areas of the hotel are very helpful and will always go that extra mile to help without any hesitation, the rooms are always very clean and loof fresh, not tired like some of the hotels in KL.... This would be my favorite property in KL...

Room Tip: Have always requested the King room, but if you have a little extra, the suites are fantastic.

KL is home to many great 5star hotels at affordable prices and Impiana is certainly lives upto this billing. The hotel is located bang opposite Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC) and connected to KLCC via a skywalk, 5 mins walk from Petronas Towers, 10 mins walk from KL Tower and 10 mins walk from Bukit Bintang. As a traveler and a shopper..this is what you need. The shopping avenues of Bukit Bintang, Surya KLCC Mall, Pavilion Mall all are at walkable distance. The location is simply the best to explore KLCC central.
Another plus of this location is the mesmarizing views of Petronas Towers that you get from your rooms. The location is just perfect..not too close to make it intimidating neither too far to make it miniature. Perfect way to soak the architectural marvel standing in your room window. The outdoor pool and gym is fantastic. This is more of a business hotel than a tourist one and you can recognize this easily going by the very very professional way in which everyone at the hotel behaves.
Breakfast was so diverse and well thought that you ought to make it a kings breakfast everytime you eat..no doubt. You can have best of the Malaysian, European, English, American , Indian, Chinese breakfast menus..infact the hotel allows you to decide which breakfast you will have the next day.
On a business as well as travel trips..its very important to get a sound sleep and Impiana have made every effort to make it sound. They offer you the best beds and pillows of your choice. They have an extensive pillow menu from which you can order the pillows to your like..awesome.
I have a friend who stayed at Traders Hotel and he came to Impiana with me to have a look was mightily impressed. Same luxuries offered at much lower prices.
The hotel is expanding to become the biggest and the best hotel in KLCC area and thats why the front facade and the entrance look understated. The construction is also going on on the left hand side but I did not encountered the problems that others have while sleeping. Maybe it has to do with the side of the hotel my room was. The lobby and the rooms shall have some extra sound barrier..that is one suggestion from my side. Sometimes even a casual talk in the lobby can be picked up from the room. But no other complaint at all.
But if you are planning to explore KL at your own place with 5star luxuries and without burning a big hole in your pocket..Impiana KLCC is the answer.

Room Tip: Go for rooms which are on the right side of the hotel having views of the petronas towers.

Make no mistake - this is a great hotel. The staff are polite and professional, the rooms are reasonably well appointed with desk, large TV, complementary robe and slippers, etcetera, and the breakfast buffet is everything you could want - it caters for all tastes, literally, so if you like you can start your day with a cooked North American style breakfast, or continental (cereals and pastries), congee, dim sum and mee (noodles) or rice, or you can go for the local staple - nasi lemak (meat stew with rice, 'sambal' curry paste and 'ikan bilis' or dried anchovies). I love Malaysian food, but found this a little rich and spicy for a first meal of the day. However, for those who want to try something different from the usual breakfast they have back home, the sweet steamed ricecakes on offer are hard to beat. 'Kueh lapis' is flavoured with layers of leaf-green pandan (screwpine) and coconut, while 'kueh seri muka' is a slice of sticky rice pudding topped with green custard. Look out for 'kueh bom' too - they look like coconut snowballs but are more like the sticky rice equivalent of a jam (jelly) doughnut. Surely too nice to be legal! You might see sweet spring rolls ('kueh katayap') and pyramid cakes wrapped in leaves as well (don't eat the leaves)!

So, fantastic food and attentive service aside, what stopped this hotel getting top marks all round?

Firstly, unless you take the honeymoon rooms or luxury suites, there is no separate shower - only an over-bath outlet, which seems a spendthrift and somewhat dated concept in the 21st century.

Secondly, the air conditioning. At night the rooms can be really too cold, even with the A/C turned to low and the temperature turned up a notch or two (mine was set to 16 C when I arrived, but I turned it to 18 C when I went to bed). The next morning, I noticed a damp patch under the A/C unit, and by evening there was a steady drip. The staff moved me to another room, and grudgingly took a little off the bill when I made a fuss, but I was disappointed that something as fundamental to a recently built hotel in the tropics as in-room A/C seemed to have been so poorly integrated into the fabric of the building, leaving the condensation caused by the change I made to the settings with nowhere to drain away except through the ceiling!

One more thing - expect noise from building works outside to begin at about 8 AM. There's nothing you can do about this - it's the inevitable result of a tiger economy and a rapidly expanding capital. Just about every block in the city centre has a new high-rise hotel or office going up. It's a vibrant, exciting city.

this hotel located within walking distance to the shopping malls - KLCC and Pavilion.. there's a covered walkway with air conditioner from in front of the hotel directly to Pavilion shopping mall.. from Pavilion, is another access to the hustle bustle of Bukit Bintang.. shopaholic will definitely find this is an advantage to stay here..

families with kids who plan to visit the Aquaria at the Convention Center - it is located right in front of the hotel only..

the room i stayed is clean and comfortable enough for myself.. there's a variety of foods during breakfast..

Room Tip: ask for room facing KLCC - i think better view at night..
