This review is the combination of 2 recent stays. The first was flawless. Excellent room facing across the park to the Petronas Towers, friendly staff and a very good breakfast in the restaurant on the fifth floor (the hotel’s reception floor).

The second stay had problems. But you can tell more about what a hotel is really like when things go wrong. Without going into detail, we changed rooms twice, the second one while a maintenance person was busy with the plumbing.

The problems and room change were handled efficiently, professionally and, most important, without drama. The staff was absolutely excellent. They quickly acting to help make sure we had a pleasant stay.

The hotel has an electric cart to take guests to and from the Petronas Towers area even though you could walk it in under ten minutes strolling around the park. It runs to 10 pm, but stops when it rains.

You can get to a covered walkway at the Convention Center that will take you to the Bukit Bintang shopping, and an underground one to the Petronas Towers area.

There are two kinds of taxis in Kuala Lampur, budget cabs (red and white) and blue Premium ones. The blue ones are lined up in front of the hotel. If you want a budget cab you may have to walk to a street and hail one or ask the hotel to get you one. The blue ones initial drop is RM 6 vs. the budget RM 3.

This is one very good hotel with an excellent staff and location. We look forward to staying at the Traders again.

Great! Cannot think of anything to complain about except the Swimming pool. We found pool to be very cold and also awkward as people drinking from the bar whilst watching you swim. Really felt on display. Staff were great, very good English and attentive. On our holiday we stayed at 5 different hotels and this was by far no. 1!! Sky Bar is a must. Expensive drinks but great atmosphere. Good luck getting a table or seat! Our room was on 32nd floor (highest residential floor) and it had great views (even though we didn't pay for towers view room). Bathroom was amazing, feel the need to design one for our home. Big bed, very comfy. We paid extra for Club access - and it's worth it! The breakfast is 5 stars! Omelette, poached eggs Florentine (highly recommended), eggs Benedict, waffles made to order when you start breakfast, and then you've got the buffet after that. Massive choice and very good quality. Then you have afternoon tea, great again!! Then you have cocktail hour, with many nibbles and great choice of drinks. Location great. Views from Club room wonderful of towers. Gym was state of the art. Soundproof bedrooms, lovely nights sleep. Could live here! Thanks for our honeymoon bouquet! Lovely.

Room Tip: upgrade to Club!

Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of a 3 month trip around SE Asia and what a great experience. The hotel is beautiful aesthetically in a perfect location (close proximity to the main shopping centres, the Petronas Towers, the Aquarium etc.)
Staff are all friendly and can't do enough to help. Our room was the deluxe double and it was perfect. Bed is the best we've had on our whole trip. The bathroom is huge and even has speakers in there linked to the TV. Shower also excellent. If looking for a treat, spoil yourself here.

This was my 2nd stay here and as always is a very great place to stop in for KL

Within walking distance to the main shopping districts in KL and the staff provided great advice for locations to eat, right down to giving us recommended restaurants nearby.

Very happy overall, would recommend just to check out the skybar at night for some fantastic views of the city.

It's comfortable for guests to have a rest and travel. The location of the hotel is very convenient to arrive. The bed is large enough for a family to live. The bathroom and the deck chair made our eyes a bright. Though the hotel have no garden but the KLCC park offset this shortage.

Dear Shuwen W

Thank you for taking the time to review us on TripAdvisor.

It is the strategic location, view and services we provide that give guests reason to book with us. I'm glad to know that this was the same with you and that we exceeded your expectations. Great to know as well that the family enjoyed themselves too.

I was there on the 12-15 February 2014 for my company convention. This hotel has a great location access to KLCC, pavilion etc. Hotel staffs are friendly & helpful, made you feel welcome. The room I stayed in was really superb! Very comfortable king size bed, clean spacious room. Free buggy to & fro KLCC, free wifi everywhere within the hotel. Nice sky bar at level 33 with good view. I have no complain about this hotel during my stay... I will definitely go back to Traders if I visit Kuala Lumpur again! Thank you Traders for making my stay wonderful!

We stayed at traders in January this year. Fantastic location with an outstanding view of the petronas towers. We had already booked a room with a tower view and we were not disappointed the view is magical. When the towers are lit up at night they are even more spectacular. Our room was lovely very comfortable and clean. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. The food at this hotel is fantastic with loads of choice and very nicely presented. Breakfast was also great with loads of international choices. Very good all round

Room Tip: Definitely upgrade to a tower view.

Dear ShropshireChez_43

Thank you for taking the time to review us on TripAdvisor.

It is an honour to have you chose us as your choice hotel while staying in Kuala Lumpur. One of the reasons why guests stay with us or visit SkyBar, is simply because of the view as we are the only hotel that shows off an unobstructed view of the Petronas Twin Towers. Happy to know that both of you had a great stay with us.

Thank you once again for your kind feedback.
