Reviewed December 9, 2012

stayed in the hotel for a one day during travel through Malaysia-hotel really nice, old fashioned,in good location, close to the metro and monorail, room was very big(also bathroom),price quite good (could be cheaper:)
the disadventages were:breakfest with small choice of food, cleanless of sheet(unfortunately very strong disadventage...) and service-tips are necesary to have good service and checking out was very long

Room Tip: nice choice for a one day stay

Stayed here from 11Nov to 13Nov 2012, our 2nd stay here for the past 5 months.
Value for money & good location near to Medan Tuanku Monorail station, save our petrol & time due to traffic jam by using car.
Room is clean & nice, but too bright during morning due to sunlight. The room air-con system is warm & leaking, my 2nd experience here, so request to change room.

Room Tip: I think higher level would be ok, air con is cooler.

Stayed here one night only and managed to get a decent quote for the room. Location is great as its close to the monorail station. Spacious basic rooms but the bathroom was rather small. Works out well if you simply need a place to crash short term = need a bed :)

Stayed here twice for business trip. The location is very strategic as it is very near to Medan Tuanku monorail station. It is also surrounded by local restaurants.

The service was very good. I left my laptop backpack at the lobby and only remembered about it after half an hour. I was very lucky to have it kept by the staff and returned it minutes after I called the lobby. It was such a huge relief and I thanked them for their honesty and assistance.

I booked a suite but it was not that big. Yet comfortable enough.

Unfortunately, the wifi has limited hours of usage and one room is entitled for one account if I'm not mistaken as they will provide you the username and password that you have to key in when you want to use the wifi.

I was unlucky to come at the wrong time as one of the chillers was down and it was so hot at night I had to ask for a stand fan but they did not have it.

The hotel is very near to KL Monorail (Medan Tuanku Station) so it is a big advantage for the guests. There are a few restaurants around the block therefore you have a few choices on what to eat. For those who do not favor local food, you may find Subway at Tune Hotel just across the junction.

The breakfast is provided at two levels, with huge difference of choices. I am not sure how they decide on this but I insisted to have mine at the second level (Makana Coffeehouse) which has more choices compared to Tazza Cafe.

So two things that you need to confirm when you check in to this hotel are the wifi and breakfast.

For what I paid, I think this hotel is reasonable and convenient enough. Just hope that the chillers won't down again!

Got a taxi here from the airport (76 MYR), and the taxi-driver found it no problems. Check-in was quick and efficient.
Got in the room, and found it smelt of sweaty cabbage (yuk), but after the air-con kicked in, the odour lessened.
There isn't a balcony in the room, which was a shame, as the view of the Menora Tower was lovely at night.
Everything was clean-ish, although the woodwork was quite dusty and the corners of rooms were a bit grubby. Sheets and towels fairly clean and sweet-smelling.
The wi-fi doesn't work at all in the room - you need to sit in the lobby to use your laptop.
The hotel is a two-minute walk to the metro, which made getting around fairly straightforward.
The breakfast is simple - egg on toast and cereal. Not exciting, but fresh and filling.
The area at night seemed fairly safe, although I heard tales of bag-snatching between the hotel and metro station.
Slight annoyance was the taxi back to the airport from the man at the desk in the lobby - he charged me 90 MYR (16 MYR more than the taxi at the airport from the stand on the way in), and then tried to get me to pay extra to go on a city tour on the way to the airport!
All in all though, it was a pleasant enough hotel, and I would probably stay there again if only for the convenience of the location near to the metro.

Room Tip: My room on the 6th floor had a nice view on the Menora Tower

I found the location of this hotel convenient, being only 3 minutes walk from a monorail station. [Take the train or bus to Sentral from the airport then it's a short walk to the momorail.]
The hotel is not on a busy street however is only a couple of minutes walk to both street and mall shopping plus restaurants that are obviously popular with local people.
It was only a 20 minute stroll to the Petronas Towers, KLCC shopping complex and Malaysian Tourism Centre, although I could have easily got there by going one station on the monorail.
Hotel staff were friendly, and my included buffet breakfast was good.. The air conditioning was excellent.
In general I found that people in Kuala Lumpur were much more friendly and helpful than in some other nearby countries that I have visited in the past. I was not afraid of being ripped off and they did not expect tips for just any minor service.

Room Tip: My room on the fourth fllor at the rear of the hotel had a view of the communications tower etc.

the rooms are nice and the location too because it's near most of the commercial areas; but if it's your first time in KL, Malaysia the location of the hotel is very far and the hotel has no transport service, so you have to get there by yourself. sad to say that the taxi driver we had from KL Central don't know where Prescott Inn is and what's funny was that, we were asked by the taxi driver if we know the Inn's location... i'll think twice next time if i'll stay with this hotel again because the travel and tours in Prescott is very expensive; it's good we were able to find cheaper one... and we had a nice city and outside city tour... take Lotus tours in case you visit Malaysia...
Another thing was the internet access... the signal is very poor. we tried to go down the internet area because we thought it's free but we paid RM5 and sad to say, nothing happened with the RM5 that we paid since we were not able to connect to the internet...
tho' thanks to the management that we were allowed to have a late checkout for 2 hours... but it just paid off because we arrived also late of the check-in time because of its distance from the airport and the fact that we have to locate the hotel first...
in general, the rating is average...

Room Tip: this hotel has no transport service to and from the airport
