Hilton Kuala Lumpur
Ranked #12 of 346 Hotels in Kuala Lumpur
Certificate of Excellence

Don’t be fooled by the Hilton name. This hotel genuinely deserves the “Best New Business Hotel In The World” title that it won in 2005, and was as good for tourists like us as it is for business visitors.

The location is ideal, directly next to the new Sentral station where the Airport Express train terminates. As you leave the platform you will be met by a Hilton porter who will whisk away your bags and walk you through the station to the hotel itself. The light rail system (five stops to KLCC for the towers and the biggest shopping mall) has a stop inside the station, and the monorail terminal is about five minutes walk away, so you can easily get to the main sights. You are also never short of taxis given the station location.

The hotel itself is superb. The rooms are exceptionally cheap by global standards – we paid GBP 100 ($200) plus tax for bed and breakfast in an 86 square metre Innovation Suite with two flat screen TV’s, dining table, twin sinks, separate bath and shower, sofa etc. Standard rooms are cheaper but as these prices you can splash out! There are five good restaurants, the Zeta Bar (which most guide books call KL’s hippest bar), a wine bar and a large outdoor pool. This is shared with the Meridien hotel which is in the sister tower next door, and you can even eat in the Meridien and charge it to your Hilton room account. The overall standard of style and decoration is exceptionally high – a lot of money was spent on this property and it shows.

My only complaint is that internet use in the Business Centre is very expensive, but there are plenty of cheaper net options in KL. This hotel could easily be a Ritz-Carlton or Shangri-La instead of a Hilton and I strongly recommend it.

I stayed for 4-5 nights in this hotel couple of months after it had been opened. Absolutely memoreable and amazing stay, one of the best hotel experiences ever. The place had a very special mood and service was excellent. My room (suite?) featured two huge forty-inch flatscreen tv's and even a small TV in the shaving mirror! The room was very cool in every way, unique very open design and great view. Most comfortable bed, great amenities, bathrobes etc.

The hotel had so many restaurants to choose from, and all the restaurants I had a chance to sample were very good. The breakfast was simply amazing with a wide array of western and asian options.

Don't know if Hilton KL has managed to maintain its amazing level after two years, but if it has, it's most recommended!

I stayed in the Hilton for one night on my first trip to KL. I room was just fantastic, and the staff so helpful.

The location of the Hotel was also ideal for me, as it is literally accross the road from KL Sentral train station. Wich is only 28 minute train ride from the airport.

I would highly recomend a stay in the hotel!

Just outside the main railway station very convenient for the airport. Rooms where cheap would def stay there. You will need a cab ride to almost all destinatons however taxis are DEAD CHEAP

Stayed here for second time in December while on business- first time was while on holidays earlier in the year. Centrally located next to central railway- door to door service in about 30 min by the airport express train. Rooms are ultra modern, comfortable and well kitted out- although need to spend the first few minutes finding some of the hidden ammenities (NB. the ironing board is hidden behind a what first appears to be a wall panel and there is an electrical adapter plug in the ammenities kit in the bathroom!) . Fantastic gym but the pool tended to be a bit crowded during our stays. As the room rates are so reasonable recommend spending a little extra for the club floor to take advantage of the great breakfasts and evening cocktails which are included in the rate. And another tip- book early- it was overbooked on an earlier visit and I had to stay at the shack down the road.
