“Good Location and value”
Reviewed July 25, 2012 via mobile

Located right in the middle of Chinatown, and reasonably cheap. Rooms are fine for the money in KL. We had a room overlooking the alley at the back which was a bit noisy. Wifi was free although patchy and slow.

Nice location if you like hawker stalls and nightmarket bargaining. Walking distance (20mins) to Bintang triangle where most shopping malls and nightlifes located. The hotel receptionists are nice, helpful and informative. The reception hall has bigTV, full body massage chair (free), internets (cheap rate), books exchange and sofas. The room is quite small and old, clean and basic with ensuite shower and toilet. It can get quite noisy as there's no sound proof, and air-con is centrally controlled so temperature in room fluctuates, which you have to adjust your blanket and clothing accordingly. Overall, it's a good value hotel.

Room Tip: we chosed the one with window but lots of noises from hawkers down the street

We stayed 5 nights, and really enjoyed ourselves. Good a double room without a window, which meant longer sleep due to the lack of daylight and noise from usually busy market on Jalan Petaling. Extremely friendly staff greeted us at 3 AM, when we got there from the airport and remain helpful throughout our stay. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. The bathrooms have everything needed, including hot showers. The hotel is in the middle of Chinatown, just five minutes walk from Pasar Seni LRT station (train). It will be our hotel of choice, next time we go to Kuala Lumpur!

We stayed here for a 1 night stopover. Wanted to be in chinatown, so the hotel was great for location. Access to the hotel can be difficult after 3pm if you have lots of luggage, as the market stalls open, and the streets can get busy with people.
There are steps up into the lobby, which can again be a struggle with luggage (especially when you are a gentleman and carry all the bags!) but lifts once inside to the rooms.
The lobby was fine, check in was fine.
Our room was ok. Fairly small, worn, but clean. There are water jugs in room, and you can get drinking water from 1 of the levels. We could hear lots of talking coming from the air vent in the ceiling, not sure if it was from next door, above or a collection of rooms. Could also hear people coming home in the early hours through the corridors. And im sure they could hear us when we checked out at 6am!!
You get what you pay for, and this was just what we were looking for, cheap, clean, close to china town and the train system.

Chinatown was the first place we visited, immediately after hotel check in a few of us decided to visit Chinatown mid afternoon. Not the best time to visit during the heat of the afternoon, a smarter decision would have been the evening - Cool Air, Colorful Lights!

Great hotel. Rooms are clean & comfortable. Situated inside China Town so shopping is everywhere. Close to LTR stations Pasar Seni, Maharajalela (monorail) and Plaza Rakyat.
