“Little India of KL”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

Brickfields is the only place in KL where various religious structures can be found. It is in this locality that one can find a small mosque, Hindu & Buddhist temples & churches. As such, this places becomes buzzing with activity during the various festivals celebrated by each religion. There is never a dull moment in this place. And to top it off, Brickfields is the place to go for authentic banana leaf rice and south indian cuisine. Food here is reasonably priced and sales persons would try to lure you into their shop. To get there, one just needs to stop at KL Sentral and walk your way along the shops. This area houses the Malaysian Association for the Blind and they can be seen walking along the streets. This area is definitely a must visit, for the sights, sounds & food.

“Go to India without going to India”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

This was a brilliant side of KL. I loved exploring the Indian culture and I truly fell like I was in India from the shops, the street markets to the restaurants it’s just a pure cultural fusion. I recommend to go visit this place at night when it’s all lit up and buzzing make sure you try some authentic Indian food at a restaurant, I had dinner at restaurant and it was superb make sure when you are selecting restaurants its busy so you know that the food is prepared fresh.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

Despite the fact that it's a bit smelly it's still worth a visit to see all the various stalls selling all manner of batiks and saris etc

“Recommend Eating Here”
Reviewed July 13, 2014

Mmmmmm the food is delicious and so, so cheap. Many of the little Indian restaurants lined up along the streets will sell Masala Dosa with Free sauce refills. Do it! The rest of little India is OK. The stalls are a bit tacky, but hey. Overall definitely check it out.
