This is a fancy shopping centre, nicely laid out and full of international labels. I can see it is of great appeal to the locals but I would not recommend this for tourists visiting who are already familiar with such places… Visiting from London, this is not what I need

Tourist and visitor may faced worse traffic jam till Dec 2016 due to the construction work of the MRT station (the Mass Rapid Transit station). However, torusit are advice to take the Monorail avoid the jam condition.

Catch the monorail to Bukit Bintang and you'll enter a shoppers (and eaters) paradise.
There's everything you could want here and all kinds of shopping experiences... with the Pavillion shopping centre the highlight.
We were there in late November and the Christmas displays were absolutely stunning - the best (by far) we've ever seen.
When you're finished, stroll along the covered walkway all the way to KLCC, the park and Petronis Towers.

We went to the Pavilion Shopping Mall several times, sometimes on foot and sometimes on the monorail. You get off the monorail and head north to get to Pavilion. The streets are always crowded and full of peddlers of copy watches and other assorted "shopping items." Since we are seniors visiting from the USA by way of Hong Kong we were not interested in that scene. The last time we were there in the evening Ducati motorcycles had a promotional event going and it was like rush hour to try to get into the Pavilion. On the return trip the steps to the monorail were full of young kids almost blocking the way.
The monorail is pretty convenient but since there are only two cars per train it may get cozy during rush hour. You can take the monorail all the way to Sentral (the main train and bus terminal) but be aware that the last stop of the monorail and Sentral are not connected. Once you get off you turn right and follow the people then cross a 4-lane road after which you walk on a "walkway" riddled with construction debris and unfinished pavement. Then a single escalator takes you up into the main floor which is crowded with many stands selling/offering all kinds of stuff. Stuff like "cashmere" scarves, wood carvings, T-shirts, dresses, you name it.
If you get lost just ask any officer or citizen. We found the people to be very sweet natured and helpful.

The first time I had the opportunity to go to this place was because of my search of the Baptist church, which was located at Changkat Bukit Bintang, and it was the morning time on Sunday. Initially, the crowd was less, but picked up as the day progressed. The place is filled with shopping malls, and restaurants. And the evenings are even beautiful. The nights are even better. At some places along the street pavements, I found musicians playing guitar, and many draw pictures of passersby for a fee.
