Owner description: Large open-plan museum on four levels with an impressive collection of Islamic artifacts. The wood carvings are a consistent favorite.

A very quite place. Staff more used to tourists - but we locals receive queer looks. Building very well and beautifully designed and it is very educational to learn more of these very beautiful exhibits. Staff serving around seems very aloof and cold.

I had few hours to kill after visiting the bird park during my long layover in KL...it has enough stuff to keep you occupied for an hour or so...

This museum is tastefully done and just the right number of rooms and artifact to grab your attention and to retain it till the very end. I especially enjoyed the small models of the famous mosques all around the world. The calligraphy portion was also very informative and interesting. This is a must when you are in KL the gift shop is one of the best ones I have been to in any museum.

I loved that this museum was mostly self-directed! Thought i'd pop in here for a quick look around and ended up roaming around for 5 whole hours! This museum really captures the rich diversity of Islamic spirituality, and its unique history that is rarely realised by the common tourist (particularly those from the West). I am not sure if guided tours are available, but I would recommend trying to organise one if you are not keen on a self-directed museum trip! Looking forward to visiting the museum again.

Go there to understand the Islamic culture and way of life. Good place to spend some quality time. Very close to the Hotel. Just stroll down and know more.
