“Great hotel!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2013 via mobile

True to pics on booking.com
No issues to locate the place at all. Key In "viva home" on navfone ( a great app fr iPhone). Lifts were working well, room size is very good and clean . Chic design , a truly 4 star hotel. I only paid s$52 nett, I believe it's a soft launch price. Go for it! I didn't experience any negative stuff as described by other fellow Trip advisors. Guess they are quite ready to function in full.
Carpark is big enough , foc , just get it stamped before you leave.
Aircon is centralized , a bit on the cold side.
There 's a big mall downstairs , quite Convi :)

the hotel looks like a boutique in which the decoration is well-managed. the rooms are also various depending on your mood. if you are in a bad mood, the water room will cool you down. do not forget to go to the pool for refreshing you body. they have a very good pool!

Room Tip: rooms on the top are quieter.

Booked on booking.com. Booking.com map places hotel miles away from where it atually is so took us 2 hours to find it. Brand new so nobody knew where it was either.

Reception took half an hour to check us in. No booking on "their" system. Then they found it and advised we could stay 1 night and then we needed to move to the "ibis hotel" over the road the day after for the remaining 3 nights... So we couldnt unpack and relax.

The rooms are 100% stunning. But not finished. Lots of filling still need doing in the bathroom, theres no phone yet in rooms and half the light switches in the room dont work. Shower has 1 setting- scalding! Even when turned to fully cold. Ready a review saying they were always.cold. Maybe their thermostats dont work!

Breakfast was 100% excellent apart from no coffee machine, just harsh strong coffee. Everything else brilliant, really good buffet.

They moved us via taxi with 8 other guests to the ibis, smoothly. We didnt have to pay anymore, which was just as well because we paid 24 british pounds per night for vivatel and the ibis was around 40. Downside is vivatels a 4 star and ibis is 3. But apart from slippers in your room the ibis is just as beautiful the receotiin breakfast and the rooms are same standard. We had a great stay an ibis... And their small gym is good. And they have phones in the room!!

I read a reaponse to 1 guests complaints about not being ready to open yet. The management say they "are having pre-opening problems". But that suggests they shouldnt be renting out rooms if the hotel isnt open yet......

Will surely be a stunning hotel when its "finished and ready for business". Not before!

i stayed in this barely-open hotel for one night on 24 Dec 2012. There is really nothing to wow about this new property other than it being new. the hotel is barely ready for guests to stay.

1. We spend 1 hours trying to find the hotel as the google map directed us to the wrong place. So we tried calling the telephone number stated in our booking confirmation to ask for direction, but the number did not get through. We then tried to google the hotel website for an alternative number, finally the number got through, but no one answered the phone call after multiple redials.

2. We found the hotel after 1.5 hours. There is no directional signage to the hotel lobby. so we drove into the carpark to park our car. We are happy to see that there was signages to indicate the direction to the lift. There were 2 signaged indicate "Press LG To Hotel Lobby". But the lift is not working, it bring us to all levels except for LG. So we tried the other lifts, none of the lift can bring us to the hotel. In the end, we walk through the shopping mall to get to the hotel lobby.

3. At 12.30am, we check-into the hotel (FINALLY). We feedback to the receptionist about the telephone issue, and they replied that the hotel does not have telephone at this moment. This is extremely ridiculous! how can a hotel be open for business yet does not have an telephone? So what if there is any emergency? We also feedback about the lift, they replied that the lifts leading to the hotel is not working and the staff forgot to remove the signages. Another ridiculous excuse!

4. The room is definitely brand new and glossy. i took a shower and half way through, the water pressure gets weaker and weaker. and the next moment, water supply got totally cut off. I tried to look for a in-room phone to call the reception to inform them about the water issue. and best thing ever, there were no telephone in the room. So we went down to the reception personally to inform them about the water cutoff.

5. Between 1245am to 2am, we went down to the reception multiple times to check on the status of the water cutoff. Seems like the engineering staff and reception staff were not communicating and are assuming that the other party has settled the problem. None of them came up to the room to check or to offer an explanation. The reception staff were helpless and did not offer any help to us. one of the malay girl even said that:"the other guests have no problem with the water cutoff as they checked in early. They are already asleep now, so they did not complain." (So is it my fault that i check in late?) Eventually, we gave up and went to sleep without a shower.

6. Smoke detector in the room is covered up in a case, how dangerous can this be if there is a fire emergency. the floor is still dusty from the construction work (maybe we are the first guest who checked into that room).

This hotel has no service recovery at all and is totally not ready to open for business. Staff are not trained to handle emergency cases and guest complaints. Its really the worst hotel i have encountered.

+: It's a boutique hotel with luxurious designers' interior. Personnel are very attentive, caring to guests. Good for shopping, for dinner)

-: It's trouble to find it for taxman. There was no hot water. There was maintenance somewhere.

Room Tip: 8 floor is in red colours!

I have stayed in this hotel for many nights. Although is still very new with all the renovation works going on I feel this is the best hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Very Excellent service from all the front office staff especially Mr. Ali and Mr. Sylvester. When there is problems in my stay they will fix it and settle it very fast. All the staff will wish you politely once you walk in and respect the guest will all their hearts. I have a great stay in this hotel and will return to this hotel when I'm in Kuala Lumpur.

Well, I stayed from 23-25 Dec 2012 in this new boutique hotel in KL. I rate it average for now, as the hotel is still very new, and construction works still on-going. The lifts are dirty and floor is dirty most of the places due to this. Location wise, it is in the mall, very convenient, but to get to the main city, it is about 15-20 mins drive away depending on traffic, which can be very bad during peak hours. Nothing to shout out, the staffs are friendly, took a bit too long for car park ticket validation tho'. Breakfast is so-so, in-room fridge location in bad, TV doesn't work well, I've to get to a pub in the mall to watch football. Well, lets see how this will improve over time, as I said, it's not 100% completed yet.
