Newly refurbished hotel very close to Kl Sentral. Efficient staff, the rooms are great and very well appointed. Large b'fast spread, but nothing special. Right next to the National museum of singapore and the national mosque.

The service in the hotel was top notch and the room was comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast offers a great selection and we had some roti that was made to order and very good. The pool did not seem to be heated but was a welcome relief from the heat. If you need to stay in this area of KL, you absolutely cannot go wrong staying at the Majestic.

After spending a week at a resort in Sepang, to stop off here and be pampered was amazing.
The staff, the room, the food, the ambiance, were all excellent.
Vintage cocktails in the Colonial Cafe before dinner was a great experience.
The old world charm of the cafe was matched by the old world service.
High Tea the next day, again in the cafe was a treat.
Highly recommend a stop off here

Room Tip: We stayed in the new wing, where everything is new.

me and my friends were having our afternoon hi tea at colonial cafe. it is truly majestic with all friendly staffs.

the afternoon hi tea set comes with variety of pastries, sandwiches and sweet cakes. The portion is quite big for one pax, we could not really finish it. totally worth to the money with good memorable moments.

Definately, will visit again.

Went over early to check in. Staff at reception, Paul was superb. Knowing that we love good scenery, he gave us an upgrade for free with extremely good view. Talking of WoW factor. He also manage to get a spot for us at the colonial cafe for afternoon hi-tea. We emailed to someone named Jezza earlier and after much ding dongs of mails, she replied us to our despair. But Paul did it well for us. Well done Paul for the effort.
Also, Spa in Majestic really lives up to their name. One word: BLISS.

Unfortunately, services at the F&B was the worst! They really need to buckle up. Services at Colonial Cafe was average but its decor were pretty. We were standing waiting to be seated but no one approached us. They just passed by us as if we were transparent! The F&B staffs seems need more training as this goes the same for staffs at Contango too.

As for our personal butler services, we don't even know whom our guy is! And our request to get the "butler's" help to carry our bags upon check out was not fulfilled either. Much to out disappointment again. In the end, we got to carry our own luggages.

In short, not all departments in Majestic are great. But the place itself will never stop amaze us with its beauty.

This ranks with those South East Asian hotels that deliver a truly memorable experience. From the moment you arrive and are ushered into the spacious lobby by a doorman in pith helmet and white gloves, you know you are in a stylish place. Staff are completely focused on their guests, and immaculately turned out in white jackets with black ties and trousers. Rooms are comfortable and cool. The outdoor pool is a nice place to relax, and the gym is very good. The cappuccino is superb, and there is a very useful free shuttle bus to take you to the central station for the express train to the airport (there is also a free service across to the new shopping centre area). The cocktail barman, Johnnie, is an absolute maestro, and provides the best martinis we have ever had, plus a range of brilliant historical cocktails chosen from a fascinating menu, all based on the very best brands of gin or rum. There were one or two service snags, as can happen in any hotel, but the key point was that they were attended to with great courtesy and little gifts were always offered for any inconvenience by way of apology. The hotel has a modern wing and a historic wing, and you should try to stay in the latter to get the true colonial atmosphere. Although KL is not pedestrian friendly, often involving walks along six lane highways (and even having to try to cross such highways on occasion), the hotel is a short walk from the old historic railway station (from where you can walk down the platforms and access a walkway right into the heart of the colonial centre), and an easy short walk to the Islamic Arts Museum and the National Mosque, themselves at the bottom of the hill where you will find the delightful Bird Park and access to the Lake Gardens. The hotel will advise you on top quality dining experiences, and book them for you - the fine-dining branch of the Kampachi Japanese restaurant is one of the great food experiences of KL. Taxi drivers in the city are generally very annoying, but one strategy is to ask the hotel for the going rate, and then agree that as a flat fare with the driver. Having said that, about half of our drivers agreed quite willingly to use the meter, which turned out to be almost the same as the flat fare.

My stay with The Majestic Hotel was truly a memorable one. The hospitality received was amazing right from the moment we arrived at the hotel. We arrived at 10am and was able to check in straight away, thanks to their Majestic 24 service, which was excellent as we were expecting to just drop our baggage and wait for the usual check in time at 3pm. The staff were exceptionally efficient and most of all, they were warm and friendly, making all of us feel so welcomed. This is a truly first -class experience and we will definitely be staying here again on our next visit.
