“Pretty Good Hotel!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2014

Stayed here for two nights with my husband and twin boys (8). Great location. Excellent shopping nearby, Lot 10 and the Pavilion. About a 3 min walk to the Bukit Bintang train station. There is also a street food market right across the street for the food adventurous types :) and a 7/11 downstairs.
The room itself was spacious and clean. I'm easy to please, so I found the hotel to be good as I only used it as a base to explore the city. My kids enjoyed the pool on the 26th floor; my husband enjoyed the view. I love food so one big bonus was that the hotel is about a 4 minute walk from the great hawker stalls of Jalan Alor.
The hotel staff was nice and helpful. There were some issues with the bathtub flooding when we used the shower, but the staff was up front that it might flood. In their defense, most bathrooms that I went into in Kualu Lumpur had flooding issues with the toilets and wet floors from the hoses, so I wasn't so worried about it. I would stay in the hotel again because of the great location and nice staff.

When we arrived, we realised the crib was sharing the building with fairlane residences. There is no check in counter, only a security guard desk. The guard gave us a number to call and the person in charge was actually out for lunch. Waited for quite awhile and she finally brought us to their office on the 13th floor which was actually another apartment. She was a nice lady, but i thought they could have done better managing the check in. The apartment is great, no complains.

-Good Location (easy to go to shopping, Dining and drinking);
-Big Apartment, but not really too clean;
-Washing machine/dryer is a big plus;
-Towel not too clean, is better have your private towel;
-Friendly Staff;
-Swimming Pool and gym room at the top floor;
-No reception, because it is a apartment hotel (need to call for the staff to get your key);
-If you look for an apartment, independent, close to the shopping centres and for an affordable price, specially for longer stays (parking in the building), I will recommend "The Crib" for the family trip. I have two good times experience in there!

Conveniently located at the Bukit Bintang area. This hotel is within a 5 to 15 minutes walking distance to the major shopping centres such as Berjaya Times Square, Sungei Wang & Lot 10. It is more of a service apartment than a hotel, equipped with a kitchen, a dining area & small living room. Room was in good condition when we checked in & the roof top pool gave us a great overview of the city.

The only drawback is that the hotel is more of a tenant of the building it's located in, as such there is no check in counter & you'd have to call the hotel staff to bring you up to check in at level 13. There is also a RM300 deposit that is needed to be paid upfront.

We stayed at The Crib for 1 night recently. We had organised a car to pick us up from the airport but it didn't turn up. After 3 calls to The Crib, we caught our own taxi which was fine. It was the Race weekend so there was heaps of traffic getting to the airport so I'm sure the driver just got held up.

You do need to call them on arrival to come down and get you. We didn't have a phone, so our taxi driver let us use his both at the airport and in the apartment foyer. Our room wasn't ready but it was only about midday so we expected that. We left our luggage in their office and hit Times Square! It was a very close walk. During our visit there we also walked to Sungei Wang Plaza and Jalan Alor. As these are our favourite places in KL, we were in the perfect location!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was clean, spacious and perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 children (8, 14). I loved having a washing machine/dryer to catch up on my washing throughout the night. Wifi was not great, but worked ok. Our flight the next day was at night, so we left our luggage in the office all day while we went out and about. We were allowed to use the pool even after checkout so we spent a few hours up there prior to heading back to the airport. The view from the pool is really beautiful and we loved chilling out up there.

Overall, we would stay here again. We would organise our own way from the airport though. I would recommend others to stay here.

Have to call a lady upon arrival. She lead us to to their office up in Level 13.

Have to bring your own luggage. Office got only 2 ladies working.

Got personal request during time of booking but the lady seem confused. Have to check on our own booking paper. They don't have a copy of our booking.

The apartment was nice but DIRTY. And then it got worse. The aircond leaked several times. Almost fell to the floor. TWICE.

Overall, MY WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Not worth the money. Tune Hotel is 1000 times better.

Have a 2 night continuous stay at The Crib, It was a wonderful experience. Need to call the staff to check in. Security was a plus point as you need the card to access to the lift, which is the only way to enter building. A plus point when I reached. The Crib located at the heart of bukit bintang, we had a coffee at Starbucks just opposite the building and shopping around. So lucky we been there for the great grand sales and had a great discount. So sad that we didn't have time to experience the roof top swimming pool, we will stay again at this place and try the facilities next time. :)

In short, recommended to stay here and remember if you drive you need to pay for the parking tickets as the hotel do not offer free car park. Hope next time they can include in the room rates.

Room Tip: can request higher floor, hotel provide rooms for different floor.
