“Slept for hours”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

When i've arrived in kuala lumpur i looked for a cheap hostel. Found a man on the street who wanted to show me the birdnest. Immidiatelly i saw it was a nice and clean place. Could't wait to get a shower. It was al verry relaxing. Slept like a rock.

Stayed for 3 nights and i've met a few nice people. You can get a nice breakfest at the corner. It's very nice to drink coffee in the morning and share some fruits with other travellers. You're right in the middle of china town, but it is really quit inside compared with outside.

Today i'm leaving to penang, but i'll be back in two weeks. Won't have to search any more for a hostel in kuala lumpur. One of my best expirience with hostels!!!

We stayed one month ago in Birdnest guesthouse 2 for 5 nights and just now we spend 6 nights here...It's our favorite spot in town to chill, meet nice people en having a good night sleep! It is very good located nearby the bus station; metro station and the famous petaling street and china town...ideal to do some good shopping and eat some cheap food! The owner is very nice and ther is also a kitchen areo and fridge where you can prepare for your own food if you want. clean rooms ...bottom line: nice place !!!!

After arriving in the early hours, I later discovered that I put myself up in a nice spot, with easy access to get around the city, right next to the LRT station(Pasar Seni). This is a great advantage if you have to go to the airport.
It is also close to the main bus terminal(Puduraya), and Chinatown.

The hostel has wooden floor with high ceilings, sharing showers, restroom and kitchen, wifi and a friendly and helpfull staff, which made it a cosy chose.

I had a clean room wtih bunkbed and fan, and had a good sleep, and was quite happy to pay 35 Ringgit, which I consider a bargain.

It´s a perfect chose for backpackers and budget travellers.

Birdnest 2 is a great hostel - excellent location, clean and well-run (Willi is always in and out and happy to help), and attractively designed with funky graffiti and bird-themed room names. The only negative to mention is that there is no AC, and despite being used to Asia's heat and humidity, it was really hot in the room at night. The kitchen, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities are a bonus, and it's both cheap and excellent value for money. I would definitely stay here again - I doubt you will find anything nicer at the same price.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have outside windows for cool air, but you'll need your earplugs. Rooms towar...

After spending 2 nights at another guest house that I will nicely call "a bombshelter" for Rm33/night, finding Birdnest 2 is a total gem. At only Rm35, it is leaps and bounds above any other hostel I have yet to find in KL. Cozy, homey, with a beautiful common room & friendly staff, for the price ($11USD) it can't be beat.
The rooms are simple, but very clean and the beds are comfy. It's also only steps away from the Chinatown Market that goes on everyday. If you're a backpacker or looking for a room on the cheap, you won't regret staying here.

I stayed here with my boyfriend when we were getting our visas for Indonesia and we ended up staying much longer than intended!
The rooms were simple but clean. The cooker and fridge were put to good use and it was a great experience being able to cook again.
It has a trendy decor and a homely feel.
Willi is a lovely guy and a very helpful owner. He showed us some good spots for eating and drinking and looked after us well.
When we come back to KL we will definitely stay here again and hopefully meet some more lovely people.
