We booked a room for 2 nights at this hotel at the end of september 2012. We planned to be one month in Malaysia. (from the Swiss Inn we had to leave back to Holland)
Unfortunetly my mother got very sick and is still hospitalised. We had to cancel our trip and also our booking at the Swiss Inn. We already asked 3 times by email for confirmation, because we need it for the travel insurance. THEY DO NOT RESPOND!!!
Hopefully this message helps!! When we book the trip next year, I think we choose a place where the service is better.
Dick & Geertje van Huisstede from Holland.

Stayed one night as it was close to the station and we were travelling on to Singapore early in the morning. Looks like recent renovations. Room clean and comfortable but small and no window. Right in the middle of Chinatown but not the place to stay if you have restricted mobility, a lot of luggage, or a planning an extended stay.

Whenever we visit KL we always go to Jalan Petaling Chinatown. The Swiss Inn Hotel rear entrance is on the five foot way of the market and you can sit and relax with a jug of ice cold draft Carlsberg and watch the shoppers negotiating the tiny alleys between the stalls. You can also order food from a decent menu and they have a good array of ice-cream for those with a sweet tooth or to keep the children happy.

It was dingy and smelly the last time I visited but it's been a super make-over now and the hotel looks colorful and bright. The only reason I book this hotel on my KL visit is because of it's location.

Right in the middle of shopping, really close to metro and monorail stations and purduraya bus station. All these places are at 5min walking distances.

The standard rooms are quite small but manageable for 2 persons on a short-trip.

If you love to shop at Chinatown and want to be in a decent centrally located hotel KL without burning a hole in your pocket, this is the perfect place.

The only thing I'd want them to improve is to add more veg options in the breakfast buffet.

We have stayed he 3 times previously, mainly for its location but this time were very impressed by its make over. Much brighter and cleaner. Only downside was that they gave us singles rather than a double despite having booked 6 months ago. Positive that when we arrived, despite the fact that the restaurant was closing, they still managed to find us a meal.
