We stayed at Micasa with our 3 children (aged 8, 10 and 17) on a 2 night stopover and would highly recommend it. We booked a two bedroom apartment through Web Asia Direct. We actually had two adjoining connected rooms, one room with a king size bed and one room with twin beds. Both rooms were excellent with high standard furnishings throughout. One bathroom had a shower and the other bathroom had a bath tub and a shower with an excellent plunge shower. The rooms both had a sofa, dining table and chairs, desk and were quite roomy.

The staff were excellent - polite and accommodating. There is free wifi throughout the hotel and there are also computers which can be used if you don't have your own (10R per hour). There is a bar / cafe and upmarket restaurant. We dined in the bar / cafe twice and the food was good but we didn't use the restaurant . There is also a Deli opening shortly. The children enjoyed the pool although one grumble is that there are no changing rooms at the poolside.

We didn't think that the location is as bad as suggested by other reviewers. It is less than a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro station - Ampung Park which is only about 3 or 4 minutes (one stop) to KLCC. Ampung Park also has some restaurants / cafes and some shops.

There is also a small convenience store just down the street from the hotel which has food, drinks, ice cream, etc.

We would definitely stay at Micasa again when we are in KL.

The room is really spacious, and although I wouldn't call its smallest room a suite like it does, it's really more spacious and larger than most hotel rooms. The furnishings and decor are tasteful, the room is really nice. You know how when you enter some hotel rooms, they have got everything but you still aint impressed? A good gauge is ask yourself if you would do your own bedroom in the same way and you've the answer. Husband and I loved our room very much. I would put the same rug, chair and bed in my own bedroom.

The bathroom is nice too, it doesn't have a tub which didn't bother us as we don't use the bathtub in hotels unless it's the Banyan Tree. I just can't imagine the number of people who have used it before I have. Instead the bathroom here has a rain shower which is really nice. Wifi is provided in the rooms.

A minus is that my sheets and pillows had a strange smell I cannot describe. Not sure how it got there. It smells like sheets that were not dried properly.

The location isn't great. The website claims that it is close to KLCC but it's not. Walking there is impossible and even the walk to the nearest LRT station is quite far as well! It would be a nice touch if the hotel provided a free shuttle to the LRT station or to Bukit Bintang given that it should know its location is really kinda bad?

If you happen to be driving into KL from Singapore, or renting a car in KL, this hotel is a must-stay. For only 300RM a night, the room rivals the nicer (not cheapest) rooms in (genuine) 5 star establishments like Hyatt, Mandarin Oriental and Sheraton.

The gym is just acceptable. There is a coffeehouse and a "fine dining" western restaurant Cilantro which we didn't bother to check out because there are better restaurants in KL.

Don't expect a swanky lobby. The pool looks mediocre too. This hotel is all about the room. And if that is what you're after (you do spend almost every your time in the room when you book a hotel stay), this is a good choice. Oh if you don't mind the crappy location.

We wanted a weekend away and Micasa provided a very comfortable place. Their personal touches like lighting a candle in the evening, making sure everything is neat and clean, and a personal note from the housekeeping team was the highlight of our stay. The personal note which was handwritten just made our stay feel so special.

The kitchenette was one of the reason why we had chosen the hotel as we like to make our own meals but I wished there more plates. Also, the garbage bin under the kitchen sink had a very bad smell that emits every time we open it.

Other than that, everything seem taken care of. Will definitely choose this hotel next time if we were to stay in KL again.

I actually book Micasa hotel room through the website online. I am not disappointed, the room is just like in the pictures on the reviews, the design is chic and tasteful. I am very impress with the kitchenete area, it has all the facilities for long term guests, oven, microwave, stove and all kitchen utensil. The King size bed is huge, a little high perhaps but very comfortable and ample lighting. It has restaurant in the vicinity, and the US embassy is just 5minutes away. A brisk walk is all you need to go to Ampang Park LRT station that would lead you to most place in KL city.
It is a great place for business, long term stay at this area. Although you traffic is bad at rush hour, so travel on lrt is a good option.
The staffs are very helpful and informative, I will come again.

I was staying for more then 2 years in Micasa before renovation and I just returned back and stayed again for 14 days. This hotels offer you value for money. Absolutly clean perfect service (opening bed, putting nice smell in your room, looking for freh towels in the evening etc..) Internet wireless perfect. Above all the admospfere is the same. Staff knows you by name, staff really takes care for you as buisiness man. (writing down the numbers of the taxi you get in etc..)Situated much better as all other big names like Prince, Hilton, West Inn because by there location you can almost avoid the traffic jams every day so you win a lot of time !! Absolutly perfekt. Prices are enormous reasonable, maybe 5% increasing after renovation. Very good situated. Also for families it is super after complete renovation the appartments will be ready at the end of march. I will come back in March. Hotel was renovated recently and reopened on Dec 2009.

It was a last minute stay due to full bookings all over KL during the Xmas holidays. When my family of 12 + 4 young kids booked in for 2 nights, we were surprised that the 2 rooms (1 bedroom suite next to each other) were very comfortable and fully equipped. It was worth the MYR 400 per night. The hotel looked small when we arrived so it was a nice surprise.

Kitchen had full amenities such as oven, stove, fridge, pots, utensils. The pool was great for adults and kids to play with. Staff were overall friendly and welcoming. Sadly there were no bathtubs in our rooms. But overall, it was nice, comfortable, relaxed and worth a full few good night stays.
