“Very good experience, good value, excellent roof top pool”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2011

We had a very good stay at this hotel. It is well located nearby the KL tower. The roof top bar and pool are excellent, with a stunning view on Petronas towers. Enjoyed very tasty food at hotel restaurants. The only negative point in our opinion was the access when you walk (we often walk to enjoy the city instead of taking a taxi). We had to walk on the car access ramp, this is not appropriate. Apart from this, friendly staff, clean and large rooms. We had a good price for this kind of high-end hotel in KL so we can say it is good value.

We stayed for 3 nights at this property in July 2011. Overall our experiance was wonderful without any complains. The hotel provides all the amenities required by a young family.. it was close to the shopping district and was really handy.
The view from the hotel was awesome, we were on the end overlooking the KL tower and the small forest area around it, and i must say it was an delightful sight.
The only small negative was their choice of the tour agencies which were overpriced and had little to offer, so better not depend on the hotel to help you with this.

The stay at the hotel can be termed as value for money.

Stayed here for 10 nights with my 23 year old son. The first two days everything seemed to be in order but then the deterioration started. The number of towels started to decrease and the coffee creamer too. We were supplied with soap only the first couple of days then house keeping decided we don't need soap anymore because we had bought some ourselves. Third night we were attacked by mosquitoes (YES! in a 5 star hotel) I think it happened because we turned down the air conditioning as it was getting too cold so the mosquitoes, who probably reside somewhere in the hotel, chose to dine on us. Complained to a trainee on the reception desk and she was very amused by our sleepless night and shared this joke with her friend in the housekeeping department. We were not amused. So it would be a good idea to keep a anti- mosquitoe spray handy.
The nearest mono-rail station, Bukit Nanas, is about 11 minutes walk and you can avoid the the steepish climb on your way back if you use the Pan Global entrance on the back of the hotel.
Staff is very friendly especially the Napalese security guards. Rest is business smiles as usual but pleasant enough.
The Bistro next to the hotel is new and one doesn't see many people there but is good for dinner if you want it without the glitters and humdrum of the city.
Beware when you check out! We had booked a taxi (paid for in advance) a night before checking out with a counter just in front of the hotel's main entrance. Late at night our door bell rang and an old taxi driver was there and said that he had come to inform us that he is our taxi driver who will take us to the airport. So we said ok and went to sleep. Next morning he met us again while we were checking out but when my son saw the door less taxi we got suspicious. We found out that he was an imposter in cahoots with someone from within the hotel who informs these taxi drivers about guests who are checking out. Our original driver, who took us to the airport in his state of the art taxi, told us that we could have been stopped by the police on the way because of overloaded, not road taxi and would have been stranded on the highway.
Its an OK hotel but housekeeping gets an F from me. Cleanliness needs attention here.

After an unpleasant journey from the airport to the hotel, we were in for a big surprise. The hotel staff had arranged a room for us on 27th floor. The view was quite stunning.Worth every penny. The roof top swimming pool is too good.Food, ambience, staff - no complaints at all. As it is located near clubbing area of kuala lumpur, it is filled with lot of eateries. It is walkable distance from both petronas and KL towers.Enjoyed my stay.

Pros:
1. Very close to city centre. 10 mins cab ride to Twin Towers
2. Taxi service at the hotel is amazing. (there are a bunch of taxis waiting at the entrance and you step out and into a taxi)

Not so nice:
1. Toilet seat had stains
2. Carpet was old
3. Check in and check out was not efficient. we spent a lot of time even without a queue.

Ok service from staff, nothing to complain about. Very large twin rooms with sofa, coffee table, kitchen and dining table. 10-15 minute walk to Bukit Bintang and main shopping areas, or 5 ringit by taxi. Luna Bar is a top quality venue for a few drinks whilst enjoying spectacular views of the city. Would stay again.

The hotel was very good with a great room size. We stayed here for 5 nights. Though its a little uphill walk after returning from any tourist attraction but its ok. The Luna Bar is amazing with a great view of Menara and Petronas. Its nearby to all the major tourist attractions and even the Hp and Hop off bus is available from Menara which is right opposite.

Room Tip: Go for the suite room since they are huge with a separate living area and kitchenette.
