Great location. The hotel has inhouse themepark and convention centre. It also has a shopping arcade, food court etc. The nearby attractions and shopping areas are also very convenient. Must visit and stay for couple with kids.

This is in the centre of the city and It has very big mall attached to it suitable for all types of shopping . Great Resturants are available. Good Ambiance. View of KL city is wonderful. Easy acessable road and metro transport. Very famous and place where every one knows. Easy Landmark to remember for travel. Good SPA and nice hotel and enjoy all types of foods. View of the KL Tower and Petronas tower in the evening is unforgetable.

I think with same price, I can get the higher class hotel. You will a little bit excited when entering the lobby and reception hall. It's look new and modern designed. But when entering the room, I started feel unwell. There's old furniture with refinishing only.
About the area, it's near central business and shopping mall area. You can walk about 5-10 minuttes to reach a lot of sight seeing area.

We stayed 3day and 2 night just after Christmas 2008. We got 2 Suites on different floors.
Our group consisted of 4 Couples with 3 young kids.

We had pleasant experience with the telephone bookings, and check-in staff were friendly.
We got excellent help with getting our luggage to our rooms. Also a friendly staff helped direct us to re-park our cars at a location closer to the Hotel lift lobbies.

View from the rooms were excellent. One could see the twin-towers and a good portion of downtown KL. The shops/restaurants/cinemas at the vicinity around the Hotel provided excellent options and variety to the customers.

The restaurant and hotel staff were friendly.

Downside: Request for towels and tissue paper boxes need to be repeated to the Housekeeping before the items were delivered.
Also, the sinks in the toilet leaked which was below expectation for a Suite.

Overall: recommended for family trips to KL.

During Our Leisure trip to Malaysia, I and my wife stayed at the Berjaya Times Square hotel in KL,

The Location was excellent (the mall nearby was an added advantage). the 1st length of our trip was to Genting, and upon coming back from there, we stayed at the Berjaya..

Upon Reaching the hotel, we were greeted by the staff downstairs and informed that the hotel lobby was at the 14th floor, (a little different!!), he also informed that the lift could be used for the above floors (where the hotel rooms are) only with the key card, which appeared like a nice security.

the Check in was smooth, though i wanted a room with a view of the Petronas tower, which they didn't have, so they upgraded me to a higher category room but with a different city view.

The Room given was Huge!, Big Living area, Decent kitchenette (but without cutlery & microwave which was hard to understand) for a suite cum apartment hotel. The Bed and the Closet were nice and another thing worthy of telling is the Bathroom.

The Bathroom was simply huge, a full sized tub and a separate Big shower area, the Toilet lied on with a connecting door but not in the same area.

Didn't use the Pool, so no idea there, The Breakfast spread was pretty decent (Not Large but not too small either), but the space of seating in the restaurant seemed to be small & congested. (add to it the high occupancy)

But all in all, very good experience and esp. loved the room and the bathroom.

wud definitely stay again.

This was our third trip to KL and we decided to stay Berjaya Times Square Hotel. As soon as we checked in, we felt it was the right decision. We were met by the Guest Service Manager Evelyn Chua. She is very efficient, friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much to ask of her. Whatever queries we had i.e. like taxis, golf, shopping etc were immediately dealt with and sorted. Our checking in was very quick.
Our room was very spacious, spotlessly clean with an excellent turn down service. From the bedroom window, we had a wonderful view of the Petronas towers and skyline of KL. The location could not have been any better. As you step outside, you have Imbi station, Monorail, lots of taxis and buses. Berjaya times square shopping mall and lots of other malls within walking distance. We felt our six days went so quickly. We would get up early to make the most our stay. At 7.00am we would bump into Manuel Locher, the hard working, general manager who we found very amiable, charming and with a good sense of humour. He always had time to ask if all was ok with our stay. Well, where would you get this kind of caring hospitality in a big hotel? He is obviously leading by example as all his staff were very friendly and obliging. It certainly makes you feel very special.
We enjoyed walking around the hotel, even late at night. We had no problems. The food in the restaurant is very fresh and delicious. The best tom yam soup I ever tasted. They had a lot of choice and cheese cakes to die for. We dined a lot in there and were served by very charming staff. Nothing was too much for them. We have no complaints about this hotel. The hotel had lot of amenities. We found the swimming pool very big and awesome on the 15th floor. It was situated in the middle of beautiful gardens and you could see the majestic Petrona Towers and the skyline in the background. It was just heavenly to swim under the blue tropical sky. We were sorry that our six days went so quickly. Well, we would like to go back again and hope the same management would be there because they did make our stay very special. On departure, Evelyn Chua took care of our transport arrangement to the airport and we were very sad to say goodbye to her.

Stayed here twice in the last four months. Frankly have mixed feelings about the hotel. It is a great location on top of one of the best shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur including a wide range of very good, reasonably priced restaurants. Meeting rooms / presentation rooms are okay as well.

The first time I stayed I was given a recently renovated Corporate Club room with great views of KLLC Petronas Towers. The room was okay with nice bed but the bathroom had burnt out bulbs and wasn't that clean. The in room television is hard to work; maybe you can understand it if you're Malaysian but dealing with two set top boxes was a drag. Worst of all there is no real lounge on the Club floor. How can it be a Club without a lounge with food / drinks / magazines etc? They just converted a large hotel room into a the "lounge" but the furniture doesn't mtach the decor and is not consistent with the furniture in the rooms either. Looks like some employee just brought in some old sofas from home. Pretty embarrassing really....

The second time I stayed I was in a regular room which was cleaner than the Club room but very shabby. The furniture was quite worn out and had a very 1970s feel to it. The air conditioner wasn't powerful enough for hte room either; the place smelled musty even if I left air con on full blast when I went out. On the plus side, the room rate was quite cheap and included a decent breakfast although it was pretty noisy in the restaurant.

One major complaint: in room internet just doesn't work properly. First time I stayed, I tried for over an hour to get on line but no luck. hotel sent nice young guy up to help but he couldn't get it working either. He suggested that I use the business center. When I went there they said their internet access was down too. The second time I stayed internet didn't work either so I ended up working from the Starbucks downstairs in the shopping mall.

Overall this hotel could / should be much better. The hotel says it is a five star facility but frankly it is not.....or it hasn't been for a long time. Management should study carefully other more modern five star hotels and spend some money in the right places (lobby, club lounge, in room internet, fixing up the rooms on a rolling basis). Given the good location and large number of rooms, the place should be easily attract both business and leisure/ tour group travelers. Hello management, are you awake?
