“Memorable Experience”
Reviewed November 13, 2013 via mobile

It was my first Asian trip and I must say I truly enjoyed our 4 days stay. Hotel itself is AWWWmazing! Tried their Spa and it was indeed a superb relaxation bec of their jacuzzi and steam sauna. Buffet breakfast I enjoyed most bec there were a lot of choices. Kinda weird at first bec I got to see curry for breakfast but it's okay. Other outlets are also good (I kinda forgot the names though). Rooms we got are so clean and tidy. Beddings and pillows are so comfortable. Love their duvet :)

We were very well assisted by the hotel staff. So hospitable, warm and friendly. Truly an amazing experience staying in Renaissance Hotel. Will definitely come back again!

First things first. As a silver elite member I got an email from the hotel a couple of days before arrival with big promises like; free welcome drink, free newspaper every day, discount on various services.... Do you get where I'm going with this? Well, none of that happened.
I asked during the checkin for my welcome drink and they just stared at me!
The room I was assigned was on the 14th floor, facing the construction site of the Ritz Carlton Residences... Get it? There was noise night and day. Really difficult to get to sleep as they worked 24/7 on the site. I guess the rooms facing the pool might be quieter but there is construction going on there too. Speaking of the pool; that was the only highlight at the hotel.
The rooms are dated and worn off. I think the Marriott Group needs to rethink of modernizing most of their properties and bring it to a current and contemporary state.

i found the hotel to be lovely and rooms were great for the price. the staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough, very pleasant and always ready to help. the foyer and bar are great and the room was quite big and had quiet rooms with lovely big soft bed. didn't use the pool, but looked nice. great position, about 5-10 walk up to the towers, klcc, water park and golden triangle. mrt is directly across road so quick trip to bukit bintang shopping area, or you can walk via china town, probably 15-20mins - totally safe, just don't dangle a handbag near road as they warned that opportunistic motorbike riders will snatch, but we never saw or had any issues anywhere in kl. handbags etc at Chinatown were good quality and value. all shopping in bukit bintang is also great, thousands of shops and malls. must go to traders pool bar before sunset and watch the sunset and towers light up (book a booth if you want but you can easily find a place to sit). also go to marinis on 5oth floor of 3rd PETRONAS tower building - again, brilliant sunset views and lovely food too. for night out, i recommend changkat area/street - heaps of cool bars and great restaurants, music etc. for excellent street food and cheap prices and beers, jalan alor is a must at night. highly recommend the light show in the water park at the bottom of the towers (KLCC) at night (or day), light show at night is brilliant.

Room Tip: we were on the club level which was very nice.

received a free one night stay for our anniversary - so my wife and i dropped our little baby off with the parents and sped off to relax for the day!

+ points :

1. managed to find a parking spot immediately when i entered (right next to lift too)
2. check in was sufficiently efficient
3. they gave us a room that was isolated from other rooms - even more privacy!
4. efficiently collected and returned my leather shoes for my free house polish (left instruction to pick it up as i was out of the room)
5. spent a good 1 1/2 hours in the very well equipped gym
6. enjoyed a nice long (albeit very cold) swim, along with food and drinks at the pool bar. luxurious.
7. went to fetch our baby for dinner and then he enjoyed the room too - waddling around :D
8. free wifi
9. excellent free buffet breakfast as well. too much choices - left with bloated tummies.
10. good service all round

- points :
1. we were left very unhappy when the staff at the gym said my wife's shorts were not allowed - granted, it was not gym shorts, but we were decked in proper shoes, socks and were decently dressed. the manager saw us being unhappy and then mentioned that we can just go ahead. -100 points indeed

that's about it :D so yes, we enjoyed ourselves! and off we scooted to Ipoh for the 2nd part of our anniversary holiday!

This hotel has 2 towers. I stayed at the East Wing. Check in check out was speedy. Lobby lacked proper welcoming ambience, room and corridors looked old. Receptionist staff informed that an upgrading project is going on and accomodated me when I requested a room away from the construction work (which was not visible or audible during my stay). Tiny twin beds and bathrooms greeted me once inside the guest room. There are six elevators but I noticed only 3 of them were working, and they're so sloooowwwww. Predictably, a sizeable line formed during the evening rush hour to get into the elevator. Wifi was free and quite speedy. I skipped breakfast when confronted with 20 person queue in the morning, and this was still at 6.30 AM! All in all, nothing stood out for this hotel except its location which is close to night life and the Twin Towers.

Room Tip: ask for a pool facing room

We stayed at Rebaissance for 4 nights, and we really liked the pool area and the nice breakfast buffet. The pool was a Little to cold so no long baths.
The room we got was ok, not more. We had a superior one in the east wing and it needs a renovation for this kind of Money. Water leeking from the bathtub, broken lamps who wasnt changed. We also needed a baby bed for our 2 year son, but the bed was a horrible steel monster, every time he moved he run his head or body aginst the steel.
The big bed was really nice and luckily big enough for all three of us.
The staff in the reception and in the restaurant where really nice and did take godd care of us.
Would go back, and then book another room.

Room Tip: Room on the higher floort and NOT the superior rooms they are out of date.

I stayed there durign the first week of April, 2013.
It is rightly located very near to twin towers and Suira KLCC shopping center. The staffs are really cooperative and the kind service they offer they are very reasonable in charging for that.

In the evening after the work you can go around to shopping centers and numerous of clubs siuated in adjacent lanes. For the people who like to enjoy and party it is the nice place to stay with useful places in the vicinity.

PS: Stay at least a week :)
