“Even better than previous visits”
Reviewed September 29, 2013

There are plenty of good hotels in KL but we chose the Renaissance primarily because it has a beautiful pool and the beds are comfortable. We stayed in the East Wing and found it even better than on the previous 3 visits. We were upgraded to a large room with a great view of the Twin Towers, the bed had a thick mattress topper and was super-comfy, and the bathroom had a separate shower as well as a bath. The breakfast buffet was one of the very best I've come across. However, it was the service that really stood out, it has gone from 'good' to 'exceptional'. All the staff we met were efficient, friendly and helpful - for example, I had three chefs stop and talk to me at breakfast, two to check if I was happy with the food (ecstatic would be closer) and one to help me find something when I was looking around. We stayed in Vietnam for two weeks before coming to KL so were used to friendly and charming service - the Renaissance still stood out. Will stay here again on our next visit.

Room Tip: The breakfast buffet we had this stay in the East Wing was better than on our last stay in the West...

Location is excellent as opposite of the monorail Bukit Nanas station & the first station of hop-on hop-off bus. breakfast has a variety of American, french & Asian good food except Arabic food is not existing and would be excellent for Indians.
you feel that the hotel has a massive number of rooms when you call for a service from your room, house keeping was good, rapid commencing their cleaning from early morning so sometimes we just needed to leave our room about 30 mins then come back from breakfast to find it done.
i used the fridge at second night to find out next day that all food is spoiled, when i tilted it the power was intentionally unplugged, i plugged it on and stored another fruits to find them spoiled as well next day cause its basically inoperative.
I noticed small cockroaches three times during my stay for 4 nights.
the toilet was not good for person hygiene as it has no attached bidet to the toilet or anything for water other unlike the other three hotels i stayed at in Malaysia.

Great location-close to lrt and monorail and not far from Petronas & KL towers.
Hotel was very impressive. Grand entrance, quick efficient check in, helpful staff. ( would have been good to have been offered a complimentary drink ). Bell boy brought luggage to room quickly.
Bedroom was large with good views of the Petronas towers. Comfy bed and pillows, lots of room and good in room facilities.
Breakfast - we Only found out there were 2 breakfast options. One in east wing and in west wing on the last few days of our holiday. Good variety in east wing TEMPTATIONS restaurant. Choice of Asian/continental/cooked breakfast and egg station.
Pool & spa. The pool was almost always empty, loads of spare loungers. Spa was good as well I had 2 very good treatments(paid for by my boyfriend) very friendly and helpful team.
Only downside was the amount of building work going on by the hotel...you couldn't lie by the pool in peace.
Just one point...as a returning customer enquiring about a complimentary room upgrade the receptionist tried to sell a rather useless upgrade package ( free wifi and discounts off meals in hotel and lifestyle lounge access) and access to a lifestyle room. Why not offer it for free as part of good customer service?
Overall very impressed and hotel was luxurious and attentive, friendly staff.

Booked a room in West tower I think or the one that offers views of the Twin Towers, huge glass windows looks absolutely amazing in particular at night time.
The room was great, huge comfy bed, all amenities, tv etc, nice bathroom and lovely toiletries. The hotel was lovely and huge, nice swimming pool although didnt use it. Breakfast was amazing, anything and everything was available, really thoroughly enjoyed it. The cake shop in the hotel was to die for and I think they had a happy hour or a certain time where cakes were 50% off, wow they were some cakes! Opposite the hotel was a street market and entertainment whilst we were there, bought a few bargains and had a good time. Not far was the Twin Towers which we walked to and were amazing. The mall was there too. Overall fab hotel, would stay again.

Room Tip: I think we paid more for the view of the Twin Towers although they were in view when standing near t...

My daughter and me travelled on holiday and stayed at this Hotel for 3 days. It's centrally located with most of the places to see just around the corner. We could see Twin Petronas towers from our hotel window and that are truly outstanding. The pool area was well planned and open till late in the night. Generally a good experience.

Room Tip: Surely, ask for Petronas tower view

Stayed here for the night, great view of the city. Commanding view of the KL Tower and the rest.
Great staff, always willing to help. Was greeted by a Mr Khen Han Ming, was very cordial, showed us around, introduced us to this great spa. I forgot the name. It was great. Nice to see everyone smiling and friendly.
Otherwise all good, but air conditioning was poor--but was fixed after a call.
Will come again for room and spa!

Stayed here on Business in August. As was mentioned here before, it is slightly in need of a refurb but apart from that its good. Friendly receptionists which always makes things easier. Breakfast buffet was good but extremely busy when i went down. Room was clean but felt a bit dated.
Overall, I would stay here again for the service and location.
