Normally stay here when on business. Ask for the weat wings if uou like a proper shower as the east wing has bath tubs only. Marriot members get free wifi in the room. Close to train stations.

Service was great. Room service took a while but i did order it late at around 10:00 pm.

The Renaissance offers you in Kuala Lumpur what you expect from a five star hotel.
Positive Points: very good breakfast, friendly staff, we got an extra bed in the room for free. No extra charge for the breakfast of our two children (6 and 4 years old). The location is at 10 minutes walk away from the Petrona towers and close to public transportation. We had a room for less than 100euro (BF for two persons included) with view on the twin towers.
We did not use the pool, but it looked big en nice.
Negative points: some smell in the room, the room needed some renovation. We had to call two times before our extra bed sheets appeared (after 25 minutes).
I believe that this hotel can be a good choice for an international hotel, close to the city center.
Good price quality relation.

Room Tip: We had the east wing which has rooms with view on the petrona towers. The west wing looked more recent and could offer more recent rooms.

Stayed here for 6 days for a conference. A bit on the expensive side, but KL is getting more expensive. Great location in the center of the city. Amenities (pool, gym) are very good.Strong wireless connection. 10 minute walk to Petronas Towers and plenty of restaurants within 15 minute walk or 5 minutes by taxi. Friendly staff and very easy check in. Noise was a serious issue first night and recommend getting a higher floor, as disco can be quite loud and goes on til wee hours of morning.

Room Tip: Get something higher than 6th floor to avoid disco noise (disco is in East tower) East Tower rooms, ask for room that faces Petronas Towers. Spectacular view)

After reading some of the comments, i was a bit worried about that hotel. We were there for a conference for 500 people, so was afraid to get poor service, crowded spaces, etc. Honestly, it doesn't feel we were with so many. They managed the logistics very well. Check in / out was very swift. Excellent and large gym facilities. Spa is worth to visit. Food is more than acceptable for such a large group. And the last day scenery for the party was simply great.

the only issue was with the Japanese restaurant last day, our food was extremely late, we haven't got what we ordered and service was poor. Probably they had some temp staff due to Chinese new year. Enfin, the whole experience was recommendable

Room Tip: try to get a room with view to Petronas tower

For the price it's ok, I have issues with 5 star hotels not having free WiFi in the rooms and only in the lobby where a large budget hotel at a fraction of the cost can manage it.
Aside from that the reception was well run and efficient, the rooms were nice with amazing views of the Petronas Towers and the bed was awesome, it possibly was the most comfy bed I have had the pleasure of n a hotel and I have been in alot of hotels.
One thing worth mentioning especially if like me you use hotels fitness centres, the gym was fantastic, well decked out with all aspects of c/v, machine weight, and free weight equipment, you wouldn't find better down your local brand name gym.
