“DO NOT GO!!”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

This place and service is so bad that you would be better out on the street on a park bench!
DO NOT COME HERE. Things go wrong here so many times there is too many to mention. Toilets blocked constantly (maintenance apparently tried 3 times to fix), tap doesn't switch off. Aircon drips (onto your suitcase), room has stains on its bedding. Today there was no manager and basically no one in charge to fix problems. I don't even know how this hotel stays open,

it was a convenient spot for a stopover.

Clean, quiet, good service, great location, free wifi everywhere. They helped us with taxis etc.
The family room was EXCELLENT value.

was old and tired when we visited, And the lobby and hallways smelled stale.

but still very, very comfortable.

only complaint is that they would not give us an extra towel. We weren't going to take it away with us! that quite annoyed us.

Thhis is great as a stopover hotel. if there was a pool, we would stay again.

Room Tip: i think that the family room was not advertised on the web site, remember to ask for is specifically...

Very near to Thai and Chinese restaurant and many other place which easy to access. Very busy street and has many thing to buy. The hotel provided good breakfast and if you can, please ask them to stay on top floor which you can take photo of the Petronas Tower from your room

We stayed here on a one night stopover in KL and I'm glad it was only one night! The room itself was ok, you get what you pay for, very basic. But there were a few gripes, for example we were only given one pillow between 2 people. We had to ask numerous times for another one, to no avail, eventually I had to go down to reception myself and get one from them. The bathroom was ridden with flies in the shower cubicle! It is in a great location though, right at one end of Jalan Alor, so dinner is right on your doorstep. It really depends what sort of thing you are looking for out of a hotel. If you want cheap, this is the one. But if you are still looking for something with a bit of luxury, I'd steer clear.

Wifi didn't work. Rooms very dark and poorly finished no ventilation extremely stuffy. The wifi didn't work in our room. The coat hangers in the cupboard were broken. There was hair on the bathroom floor when we arrived. All rooms are smoking rooms they stink like stale cigarette smoke and it's hard to breath let alone sleep. Don't stay here spend $20 to $30 more and get something tidier and cleaner . These are like dog boxes!

I checked in on 19th june 13 with my friend. The staffs were very supporting and friendly. Helped me in calling airport to check the status of airport through the reception phone. A perfect location for people who enjoy local food. Local sightseeing is just next door. The petronas and all the hip hop clubs are just walking distance from the hotel. 15 minutes walking and you reach anywhere u want. The beach club is very very near to the place. we walked down to the sky Bar from trhe Hotel at the night. Easy and cofortable.. And the best part is what a reasonable price. If u want more, pay 1500 dollars for Traders hotel or shangri La :P

Stayed 3 nights early May 2013. The Nova is an older hotel with reasonable size rooms, wall colours very dark, not appealing at all, beds very hard although big, shower ok after you work out hot water system, quiet noisey in corridors, breakfast ok with not a lot of choice. Location is excellent with plenty of eateries in street outside with some great food & heaps of shopping within walking distance. Service was quite good especially the lady on the tour desk who would have had to have been the most helpful person we came across in our 4 weeks away. If you get the Air Asia bus from the airport to the city, then get a taxi make sure you choose the taxi's carefully, we got a very dodgy one.
