We stayed at the Westin for three days in mid December when forced to re route through KL rather than Bangkok. Normally we stay at the Shangri La in KL but decided on a change. We found our experience to be only average.

The hotel is very well situated being adjacent to other properties and the main shopping area. The executive room was quite spacious but I thought the neutral colours give it a certain starkness. Maybe I'm just old fashioned?

All the staff at the hotel were courteous and accommodating. The breakfast had variety capable of serving all nationalities but you undertook long walks to access all serving points.

Thought the pool area was pleasant and certainly catered for children. We experienced good f&b service when there.

By our experience housekeeping let the hotel down badly! Each day trays left outside rooms took almost until the next day to be removed. The housekeeping appeared haphazard in that only parts of the room appeared to have been vacuumed, some surfaces were never dusted and on one occasion our door had been left ajar. Now in fairness to the hotel upon complaining about the door being left ajar, the duty manager as a matter of course checked the cctv to confirm there had been no unauthorised entry and provided a complimentary fruit bowl. Probably to be expected from such a property but very efficient - and appreciated.

Our experience overall was (just) satisfactory but we have had far more enjoyable experiences in similar hotels.

We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 children ages 9 & 11.

We requested interconnecting rooms with a twin towers view but this was unavailable upon check-in (even though thats what we paid for). They offered us an upgrade to a 2 bedroom apartment which we had a look at. We didn't like the "residential" feel of this part of the building. We much preferred the hotel rooms. They ended up finding what we originally paid/asked for and we were so happy with the result.

The room decor is modern and luxurious. We could only see one twin tower because of the new residential tower being built.

The service is fantastic and the food prices are great.

The lobby is a bit dissapointing, but the restaurants and rooms are visually stunning.

We ate at all restaurants and they were all amazing. Yes, the famous buffet breakfast IS good, but only if you have a sweet tooth. The savoury items were quiches etc which is more lunch/dinner food to us.

The restaurant by the pool serves delicious meals in large portions. The Qbar is exotic and funky with yummy cocktails and sassy music. A great night out! Eest has the most extensive menu I have ever seen! It takes quite a while to order! Every dish we ordered was amazing with the freshest ingredients. Room service was fantastic also.

The shopping centre across the road is amazing (Pavillion). It has every shop you can think of and the food court is great also. The location of this hotel is perfect. Its such a shame the drive to the airport takes 1 hour!

Don't bother with the 28 minute skytrain from the airport. It ends up taking longer than a cab/limo as there is lots of messing around at either end (ie. waiting for train, taxi to hotel etc).

We would definately stay at the Westin KL again. A beautiful hotel for a really cheap price and a great location.

The Westin was our second choice (on our agents advice- he liked the JW Marriot) but the Westin did not disapoint. It was an oasis after a long flight from australia and a great place to rest while on our way to india. It was a convinient location to pack in all we needed to in less than 24hours and the room was gorgeous with a spectacular view. But better than anything else was the breakfast- i got lost in the resturant. couldn't have asked for a better hotel. will stay again.

love view from suite. room it really comfort. And location is the reason why we choose this place. Reception and Bellman is the worse in this hotel. And never see anything like this. Almost 10 staff standing without helping and not even ask for help. They just look and not smile too.

Front office staff are normal to none. Most of them to busy to have a service mind i guess.

Not prepared for Guest details even already inform with reservation staff.

LUcky that some high level staff are rescue shortly after waiting for checkin almost 15 mins.

love suite, club lounge is ok, some staff are not nice (chinese looking guy work in club lounge. I am sure it only one. Try to avoid get any information from him.

Location is a key. The Westin is located just outside the Pavilion mall, lined with all the posh shops. They didn't have pork bacon (they had beef).. The pool could've been bigger and they could have more beach chairs as it could get crowded in the afternoon.
I loved the Q Bar at the lobby, although the place could get quite dirty late in the evening. Nice music with live bands.
