The bed is indeed heavenly. Slept like a baby the 3 nights i was there. Location is ideal. A couple of minutes walk to Bukit Bintang monarail station that will take you to everywhere in KL and suburbs for a song. The location itself is on the busiest street in KL day or night. Lots of stuff and food with malls like Pavilion, Lot 10 and Sungai Wang. The service in the hotel is impeccable. Reception was lightning fast. The room perfect.

Rooms are looking very tired, more 4 than 5 star, although the position of the property is hard to beat. Housekeeping is average, to say the least. If booking as a triple, the rollway bed is not suitable for anyone over 150cm, as we were to find, and no other beds are available, so we had to do with a mattress on the floor, hardly 5 star.

Greetings SueK

We thank you for taking the time to review our hotel.

We are definitely looking at the possibility of conducting a major renovation but unfortunately are not able to communicate a specific date now. We seek your understanding here.

Meanwhile, please accept our sincere apologies for not being able to accommodate to your request for a rollaway bed that is suitable for a person who is over 150 cm. We do have these available but insufficient numbers. We would appreciate it if you could let us know in advance on your next visit.

Once again, thank you for sharing your thoughts and look forward to welcoming you back.

Take care and be well

We spent three nights here at the end of our three week, three destination Asian holiday.
We chose The Westin over other similarly located hotels in KL based on reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed.

The hotel organised air port transfers for us and this is where the luxury began.
When we arrived at The Westin there were two people waiting outside the hotel to meet us having been contacted by our driver when we were nearly at the hotel to advise of our imminent arrival - we felt like royalty!!!

We were checked in in theClub area and shown to our rooms both with spectacular views of the Petronas Towers!!

The offerings in the Club Lounge from breakfast through to evening cocktails were fabulous with a chefs station for each presentation.

The quality and variety of both food and drinks was exceptional and the coffee was to die for.

We were even given a late checkout and then access to the Club Lounge until we left to catch our midnight flight back to Perth.

We ate at several of the hotel's restaurants and on each occasion the food and service were e cel lent.

If you are looking for first class service in a very convenient locationThe Westin KL is for you!

Arrived late at night after a long flight (travellers note that its a min 1hr journey from kl LCCT airport to kl city), check in staff were not overly friendly or helpful at all.

Now, Westin pride themselves (apparently) on their 'signature beds'. So I was very disappointed to walk into the room and see that the bed skirting was all ripped along the bottom of the bed and hanging on the floor and the pillow cases were so badly worn that they were a transparant beige colour. I know this is being picky, but surely this is unacceptable for a 5* property --- who boast min $200 per night 'signature beds'!! Waiting 20 mins for our bags to arrive then spoke to porter and rang reception - upon which I think a supervisor came up to inspect the room (himself being shocked at the bed) and escorted us to a new room. This person was very friendly and helpful and stayed to chat with us and map out things we could do and see in KL (much more than the poor assistance from the concierge).

Location is perfect. Bathroom is very nice, and big. The latin bar and grill downstairs has fantastic food (at a hefty price), and a VERY cool ambience, with live music also.

We had made a comment on our booking that we were travelling on our honeymoon, yet no special touches or even a mention was offerred during our stay.

We thank you for reviewing our hotel and please accept our sincere apologies for the unpleasant arrival experience. This is very embarrasing and clearly indicates that the person responsible for releasing the room did not do a thorough job.

I will personally talk to the team concerned regarding your other challenges. I understand this has left a negative impression but we sincerely hope that you would give us another opportunity to make amends and let us welcome you back.

Take care and be well

This was my first stay at the Westin Kuala Lumpur. The hotel is in an excellent location, being directly across the road from the Pavilion, which is a big shopping mall with great food options. It is located in Bukit Bintang, which is where the shopping belt in the area is. Up the road is Lot 10 and the Sungei Wang area, with lots of small streets where both local and international food options are available. The Hotel itself is about a 20 minute cab ride away from KL Central, which is where the KLIA Express stops from the international airport. You can also take a monorail from KL Central to Lot 10 (the closest stop is Bukit Bintang) and then walk to the Hotel.

The Hotel itself is a classic Westin setup, classy and clean. The bathroom is spacious and includes a bath tub and a shower. The room is comfortable and comes with all the usual amenities. The bed is comfortable and there is a mini bar where you can ask for ice if needed. There are bottles of water available for free in the room and bathrooms, that they top up for you each day. It's a little date and could use a spruce up - little things like slow drainage of water in the shower and the weak toilet flush could be fixed up. The lifts are also quite slow during peak hours. In general it is a comfortable stay with a great gym and pool area. The pool is set in a garden with apples and iced water on offer. I did not try the restaurant or the food at the hotel but have heard from others who have stayed there that the buffet breakfast is extensive.

The service was great and I have nothing to complain of in that area. The staff was attentive and friendly. The room service was prompt and reliable. Overall this is a great hotel with an enviable location - the noise level is not compromised by its proximity to the central Bukit Bintang area. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Try to get a room that faces the Pavilion side. The view is more pleasant and you can watch the Buk...

We thank you for staying with us and taking the time to review our hotel - it's always good to hear that our guests enjoy themselves during their stay.

The slow drainage could be due to blockage - we will have Engineering check. We apologize if this has caused any inconvenience. Meanwhile, your feedback about the weak toilet flush has been noted and will include this as an area to improve when we plan our renovation program.

Once again, thank you for the great feedbacks and look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Take care and be well

Always nice to go back to the westin, it's on a higher level than many hotels. And just across Pavillion, easy to go for some food or shopping.
