Sheraton Imperial has the most friendly staff and the most relaxing atmosphere imaginable. We came about staying there (in 2012 despite the date on the review) all because our previous choice of hotel was a total disaster!!! So the Sheraton was heaven!! Beautiful comfortable rooms and amazing views and the buffet downstairs is delicious; fresh fish and sashimi and so many choices! I think that was all my husband could talk about! From my point of view it was very out of the way from the hustle and bustle which was excellent but close enough to the twin towers and the big shopping centre, however it still requires a taxi. We loved it there and there are few small pubs behind/to the side of the hotel which doesn't take off till late but its a nice quiet place to hang in the evenings for a drink. We are heading back in 3 weeks and we can't wait!

My wife and I just spent 4 days at this hotel and really enjoyed our stay. The location is convenient to the major attractions, and there is a Monorail stop outside the front entrance which is a plus. The public areas of the hotel are all very clean, and the lobby is a wonderful beginning to a stay here. Check-in was courteous and efficient.
Our room was of a standard expected at Sheraton and was nicely furnished, clean, quiet and had a nice city view.
We ate breakfast at the hotel as this was included in our rate. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety and for the most part the dishes were hot which can be a problem with some buffet breakfasts. The restaurant was incredibly busy at breakfast and it seemed the staff were not particularly interested. It was one of the only hotels of this standard I can think of where we were shown to a table and not offered tea or coffee when we sat down. We actually had to repeatedly request for coffee and getting refill was even harder. The quality of the food did make up for this someway, but for someone who can’t function without coffee first thing it was a little annoying.
The pool area was a nice place to relax and spend time.
Overall we had a nice stay at this hotel and would stay again when in KL.

Dear couple Cam H,
We carefully reviewed your valuable comments and feedback and would like to thank you very much for taking the time to post this review. I do share your concerns. Sincere apologies that the breakfast team did not pay attention to your morning coffee due to the high occupancy that day and I have addressed this already to all involved to make sure we improve and pay better attention to these details as the breakfast is without doubt one of the most important meal period of the day. Thank you again for bringing these issue to our attention and I assure you our utmost attention to avoid similar shortcomings in our service immediately. Great to read that you will stay again at Sheraton Imperial and we all look forward to your next stay to relax at the pool and enjoy our culinary offers.
Best regards

We stayed at the Sheraton for a stopover in KL. It comes with the usual high quality in Service and equipment, Sheraton Hotels offer. However, the establishment is quite out-dated. The location of the hotel is not central (to the center or the KLCC) so you either have to take a taxi or use public transport. Bars and restaurants that are mentioned to be close to the hotel were very rare, most of them were shut down. My conclusion is that the hotel is good for business trips but for toourists staying a short time, there are alternative options closer to the KLCC.

Dear couple Watersprotsfun,
Thank you very much for your feedback and comments and we are glad that you enjoyed the usual high quality standard of Sheraton. Allow me to recommend our Starwood sister hotel The Westin KL which is located close to more attractions and night life and is a good alternative if you only have limited time for shopping or sightseeing. Yes, KL is a vibrant big city and traffic is like in any other capital a challenge but taxi fare and public transport is always available and relatively cheap. Would be our pleasure if you consider Starwood as your preferred travel partner in the future again and hope you will have the opportunity to visit Malaysia again in the not so far future.
Greetings from KL to Munich and best regards

We had fantastic service by all the staff at the hotel. As we walked in they greeted us at the door and gave us a special drink as it was really hot. We had breakfast the next morning and it had so many stations we did not know what to eat next. The room was clean and the pool was awesome. We will stay again when back in KL

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the Towers.

Stayed for slightly under a week with the family and found the hotel aged but still decently maintained. The beauty of an older hotel is that the room is slightly larger than the newer properties!

Checked in late in the afternoon and it was so swift that they overlooked confirming my room type and placed us in a smoking room. Being very sensitive and allergic to smoke smell, it was a very bad first impression when entering the room. As our child needed to take a nap first, we requested for an air cleaner to be delivered to try and ease the discomfort. Despite leaving it running for over 4 hours, there was no improvement and we requested a room change.
The room change took too long to get done and a couple of chaser calls had to be made before we had to physically go down to the front desk to address this issue.
Apart from this initial hiccup, we faced no further challenges with the room, with housekeeping services being on par with expectations.

Food & beverage around the various venues of the hotel are great, especially the Italian restaurant which is so quaint and nicely decorated! This is definitely a must-try if you're staying in for a meal.

Generally, hotel staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our time there.

Room Tip: Request for a room away from the street alley pubs as the music resonates late into the night!

Dear family Muchadoaboutnot,
With great pleasure we received all your positive feedback in regards to our Italian Restaurant Villa Danieli and in general about our team and quality of services. I personally do not want to miss this opportunity to apologize for the wrong room allocation to a smoking room and the hassle to change room with your family which definitely could have been avoided beforehand. Thank you for bringing this shortfall of service to our attention and we are taking these comments very serious to improve and ensure consistency in our customer approach and care.

We just spent a couple of days in KL and at this hotel for the duration of our stay. We stayed in a club room on the 30th floor, these had a great view over the city and use of the club rooms on the 38th floor.
The rooms are clean and spacious, the bathroom amazing with a really nice powerful shower, perfect after walking the hot city all day.
The club room had a happy hour between 5:30-8pm, if you are able to use this I suggest you do, alcohol is unlimited and free during happy hour and as alcohol is very expensive in KL it is worth using this even if it is just for 1 glass of wine before heading out for dinner.
The hotel is situated minutes from the monorail, the hotel is at stop Medan Tuanku which is 3 stops from Bukit Bintang which is where all the shopping is. It is also only a 5 minute walk from the underground station which is on the same line as the PETRONAS towers.
Please be aware the hotel charges 10% service charge and 10% government tax on top of everything, if this is common practice then do not worry but as this is unusual for us Brits as prices are quoted without this, so the extra 20% on top of our final bill was a bit of a surprise.

I booked two nights in this hotel. It is located in just the right location - walking distance from Twin Towers and Monorail station. Check in was smooth, Ryan, the receptionist was very friendly and upgraded me to the high floor, 37th Club Room. My family arrived a day later, but prior to their arrival, he upgraded them to be on high floor so that they are close to me. Very considerate indeed. Any questions asked, he will be answered with a smile.
I cannot find faults in this hotel. Everyone makes you feel special. I and my sister, first time in KL, didn't plan to travel anywhere as it is our three days short trip. We only wanted to go see Taylor Swift concert, and we were suggested to book limousine to the stadium. The driver, Lee, and the staff at counter (Mokhtar) always gave us the full energetic advices on how to transit to places.

The room is spacious with a nice view, and full version amenities. The bed is very comfortable. If you come to this hotel, I suggest to request the room with the Twin Tower view. The city view is als nicewith the range of mountains see from your window.

The Club Lounge staff are very friendly as well. Though the downfall would be not as many varieties of food for breakfast. The service quality is great but the speed is somewhat disappointed as it took us 30 minutes to finally get the Iced Lemon Tea we ordered. And we had to tell the staff twice as she seems to forget the order.

Drawbacks:
1. Whenever we request something on the phone, we didnt get stuff on the first time of ordering. It always have to be a repeated call. Which is a bit annoying. It took us twice to order extra towels, or get our In Room Dining table picked up.
2. Although service is great, information is not informed. We didnt know that we could send laundry for free until one of us approached and asked the staff.
3. Conciererge doesnt seem to be so active. Gave us city map and that's it. You may consider giving us more of an explanation and recommodation?
4. Sensitive matter like addressing people with the wrong gender. At the limousine arrival from Airport, I and the driver couldnt find each other because somehow the sign says "Mr." on it, obviously he was looking for a man. Or when we did emails back and forth prior to arrival - I always be addressed by Mr. which I found to be pretty sensitive.

Other people to be mentioned: Ashley, Front Desk. Very helpful, thank you!

Apart from drawbacks - which of course do not matter that much - I will definitely come back here again!

Room Tip: Club Room with Twin Tower View
