“Nice hotel - friendly staff, good service and a great location - shame about the noise!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

I stayed here for the weekend a few weeks ago.
The hotel is in an excellent location - close to the main road and a 1 minute walk to the nearest monorail station.
Every staff member I encountered was friendly and able to immediately resolve any issues. The concierge was always very helpful.
I particularly liked the lobby area - it is very inviting with lots of secluded seating areas. The large number of computers with free internet access is a plus.
Rooms are well appointed and clean - with a large flat screen TV and floor to ceiling windows.
Unfortunately my room faced out onto the street adjacent to the hotel, with many bars and clubs. I would strongly suggest avoiding a room that overlooks this - as the music does not stop until 6am and is quite loud!
The pool area was a little disappointing - like many hotels in Asia, it's more of a play pool than a place to do any serious swimming. It was surrounded by a lot of concrete too.
All in all, this is a hotel I would definitely return to. Location, staff and very reasonable weekend rates ensure it receives it's worthy rating here on Trip Advisor.

These guys sure know how to deliver exceptional service. It was first class and made you feel like royalty. The lady who seated us for breakfast remembered our names every day. The concierge saved us hours by arranging bus tickets to Melaka for us. They would have happily purchased our tickets to visit the Petronis Twin Towers if we wanted too. The front desk were very friendly and helpful. We were greeted with warm smiles (and often by name) wherever we went in the hotel. The door staff and ample staff in the hotel entrance would bend over backwards to assist us. Many of the staff specialize in knowing about particular areas of KL (just read the fine print on their name badges to find out the areas that they are knowledgeable about). The food was also sensational! The rooms weren't the trendiest around but they were clean, very functional and classy. If you are coming to KL for the first time then I would highly recommend this hotel. As well as feeling like royalty you will feel secure here knowing that the staff are always looking out for you and are always ready to help (even if your travel queries or issues aren't simple ones).

1 of the best hotels I have stayed at in the world. The friendliest staff , cleanest rooms, most awsome veiws , a minutes walk from the monorail station, and the best part about the hotel was the luxurious breakfast that had everything you could wish to eat. I would definatly recomend this hotel to anybody going to kuala lampur.

We stayed here for 2 nights and everything was perfect. The rooms are spacious and staff was really friendly as well. Breakfast buffet was great. There were lots of different varieties of food to choose from. Also location is great. Right next to Medan Tuanku train station. You can catch the train to Bukit Bintang for great shopping! Overall very happy!

Honestly from the moment we stepped off the plane I had a foreboding sense that my stay at the Sheraton KL would not be good. As a matter of fact, I was completely correct. When we walked into the hotel, we were greeted by the staff - that was alright. However, everything started to go downhill when we checked in. Wow, what an excuse! They said that because the previous guests checked out too late we had to wait. They told us to wait at the Club Lounge on the 38th floor and it would only take 30 minutes to an hour. However, when we got to the club lounge, nothing was available except for some cheap drinks and some stupid leftover candies, preserved papaya and mango, and peanuts left. Nothing for us to eat! Alright, at this point I got a tad furious so I asked the man who looked like the manager of the club lounge if there was anything to eat. The manager basically said no and if we wanted to eat, we would need to buy it ourselves. What a rip off, we waited for over an hour and our rooms are still not ready. We paid top price for rooms on the 38th floor and they didn't even offer us complimentary finger sandwiches or such to keep us satisfied. We had to order a club sandwich that was a compelte rip-off. This hotel is a disgrace to 5 star hotels and a disgrace to the Sheraton and Starwood brand. Never did I expet such below par service. We kept pushing the staff and asking if the rooms were ready after that full horu they promised. All answers were, no! im sorry - with a big worried smile. Well, the worries were right as this post should do justice on how below par service you guys provide. The hotel is obviously dated with ugly old decor and stained desks. The staff at check-in had us wait quite a while and did not offer us any drinks. We had to get our drinks ourselves. At least tell us you guys haev drinks and help yourself... But no! I suppose the staff is too unaware that we were all pissed off! The rooms were decent but quite frankly BLAND. I knew my instincts were correct, I never should have booked the Sheraton @ KL, I need to be more wise and book the Ritz Carlton, Hilton, Crowne Plaza or just any hotel that is not associated with Sheraton. All the time was spent waiting for our rooms. What kind of bullcrap is Sheraton KL trying to pull. I seriously need to speak with the stupid manager who is running this place. And the fact is, s/he should be replaced. We already booked our rooms weeks ahead. When we came, only 1 was ready. After an hour only another one was ready. We booked an early flight to spend that day touring Malaysia. Unfortunately we couldn't because the hotel provides below par service. We didn't book it yesterday honey - we booked it weeks ago. What a disgrace. Screw Malaysia, screw Sheraton, and screw Starwood. My experience at KL has been completely ruined by this hotel. If I ever do visit KL again even after by horrific experience with Sheraton KL, I will ensure that I find a hotel unrelated to Sheraton and Starwood so my experience is not obstructed. Terrible experience. Beds? Average. Rooms ? Average. Not much to say about the positives of this hotel. However, listing the negatives would be a breeze.

Fantastic view of Twin Towers once you open your curtains, nice rooms with good ambience. Very conveniently located just 2 minutes from monorail station. After toiling hard days sight seeing we crashed to excellent beds in the night which made us fresh for next days adventure.

Room Tip: Take a higher floor room for good sight of twin towers.
