We were there for 2 days to visit the city. The hotel is very well located, less than 10 mn walk from the Petronas Tower.
The service was excellent, but what else to expect from this hotel.
The breakfast buffet is great
Free shuttle service to and from Bintang Walk.

We stayed at the hotel in January for stopover after holiday in Maldives.
We had booked an executive suite and as Ambassador member we received upgrade to an Ambassador suite.
Check-in time was very early (we arrived at airport arond 6.00AM and got fantastic hotel limousine transfer),personal and done in he suite itself. Best service ever!!!
It is fantastic not having to wait for your room for hours when you arrive so early in the morning.
Suite was spacious, clean, nice big extremely comfortable bed and large bathroom, full of amenities. No remarks at all.
Lots of bottled water was provided free at charge in all parts of the room.
The executive lounge is nicely decorated and offers a wide variety of very tasty snacks and drinks. Staff was extremely friendly, helping out in every possible way. Always with a large smile
they even remermber your favoroute drink after only one nigth! Serive is prompt and friendly.
Breakfast was very good an offered a lot of choice.
We had some ice cocktaims in de bar on the first floor and also a nice meal.
We felt extremely welcome in this hotel and enjoyed everything about our stay.
We highly recommend this property to all kind of travelers. Last time in KL we stayed at the Sheraton Imperial , also nice hotel but it cannot compete with the service and freindliness of the Intercontinental staff.
We will be back for more. That's sure.

I decided to go to KL for a weekend and wanted a place in the center of the city. I chose the Intercontinental Hotel and was not disappointed at all. They were fantastic. A fantastic room, great service, and a nice central location. Everyone from the front desk, bell service and concierge were first rate. The concierge esp. went above and beyond.
The overall trip was great and I am planning another weekend there and this is the hotel I will choose.
The only thing that I would say could have improved was the breakfast, some of the food was cold.
Also, while I rated the spa, I didn't go to it.

Spacious, comfortable and well-appointed room.

The breakfast buffet is highly recommended.

The hotel's location, in close proximity to Petronas Towers and the Suria KLCC mall, as well as the Ampang Park metro station, is very convenient for getting araound.

We went as a group to Kuala Lumpur from February 15 to 18, 2013. As usual, the Intercontinental did not disappoint. The location is good, walkable from the Twin Towers (5 minutes). From the main shopping area and Bintang walk, about 5-8 MYR by cab, not bad at all ( and there is a free shuttle service from the hotel to Bulkit Bintang).It took us MYR 75 to take a cab from the international airport to the hotel.

The service is very good and the hotel is really accommodating. We modified our booking more than twice , first with the dates, which they allowed in spite of it being a non-refundable booking. And then we modified our booking twice regarding the number of people and they were always ready to help. Even during our stay the staff was always ready to help, be it providing us with adapters, or weighing scale or giving us useful tips about getting around.

The rooms are spacious as well as the bathrooms. The bathtub in our bathroom had some overflow/ leakage issues so that whenever it was being used the whole bathroom would get flooded. But we did not pursue the issue since none of us were using the bathtub anyway.

We had a twin bed deluxe room on the 21st floor. the view was alright, there is not much scope for a view since there are tall buildings on each side.

We did not try out the breakfast so will not be able to comment on that.

Overall a really satisfying and hassle free stay.
