Tip: 'KL Hop-on Hop-off City Tour'. www.myhoponhopoff.com . To access nearest stop (No.6) from hotel, turn right out of hotel, head towards Bintang area and look for Lot10 shopping mall, then Piccolo Hotel, No.6 located at kerbside. A double-decker bus leaves every 30 minutes, but unfortunately out bus hadn't arrived after an hour so we got a taxi to our destination. It's 2.5hrs for the while circular tour. RM38 per person.
Tip: Turn right out of the hotel entrance then across the road for the Pavilion shopping mall.
Tip: I found it difficult to get anywhere in KL on foot and impossible by monorail, so frequently used taxis. It cost RM10 for a daytime taxi to the Petronas Twin Towers from the hotel, although I've walked it as well.
Tip: Petronas Twin Towers - I bought 2 tickets for myself and my friend via Nash (a young college student): http://www.klccvisitingticket.yolasite.com . He queued for us, as it's recommended to queue from 6am onwards each morning, and he delivered the skybridge/observation deck tickets to our hotel lobby at 9:30am for a 11:15am entry. We paid him on delivery. All tickets sold out, so it was worth paying him to queue. The complex also contains a concert hall (Dewan Filharmonik Petronas), shopping mall (Suria KLCC) and several restaurants.
