We stayed at the JW Marriott for two nights from the 26th December. We cannot fault the quality and level of service offered by the hotel however we recommend guests think twice before eating at Shook restaurant for dinner. My wife is vegetarian and they really stuggled to cater for her needs getting the order wrong the first time, putting fish stock in the second time and providing the blandest and most tasteless pasta as a third attempt! While Shook provides a great breakfast the level of service and quality of food for dinner is far more inferior than what we are used to. We spoke with the F&B manager (Zul) aftrwards explaining the issues. He acknowledged and accepted each point of feedback but failed to address them there and then. For a hotel of this standard we would expect the waiter that takes our order to also serve us the food, we would expect vegetarian food not to contain fish stock and we would expect for this hotel to cater for vegetarians on the menu itself. Quite a fishy menu, bland italian food and the tepenyaki is nothing to shout about.

I have stayed here many time and found it consistently good.

The rooms are large, well appointed and have luxurious nice bathrooms. Very comfortable because of the size.

Service is good, Check in/out always quick. Plenty of staff around. Level of English is very good. Doorman is helpful when you need a taxi to go somewhere unusual.

Location is good. It is on the end of busy Bukit Bintang which is a busy tourist oriented boulevard with many restaurants, shopping and entertainment venues.

Monorail is a 10 minute walk but is somewhat confusing and limited where it goes. Local taxis are abundant and cheap. You can walk to the Twin towers and other popular places.

There is a large collection of nice restaurants below the hotel "feast village" great variety and quality, prices ok. "Shook" is the hotel breakfast and is pretty good, great surroundings, nice selection of good food. Also many restaurant choices nearby.

Amenities are very good, plenty of free drinking water, coffee, tea in room. Usually fresh fruit in room, daily newspaper, free internet. Breakfast costs extra but is modestly priced. Gym is large and well equipped.

Very nice luxurious hotel, with expansive rooms, lots of amenities, good location, caring staff.

Room Tip: They all seem good.

ive stayed at this hotel about 4 times in 2010. the location and comforts which are typical of the Flagship marriot hotel keep inviting me to come back here. Only times i dont stay here now is when the hotel is booked. situated right on the busy tourist street of bukit bintang, the marriot houses the prestigious Star hill Gallery in its premise. All the major brands like LV, dior, Burberry etc are in this complex.

the friendly check in staff at the front desk begin a comfortable stay in the hotel. the rooms are big sized and the bathroom too is very large with seperate showers and bath tub. luxury toileteries enhance the experience.

the breakfast is vast with lots of choices and very scrupmptuous.

I stayed there in 2008. Excellent hotel and services. Breakfast was amazing with live dunor kababs and donuts being made in front of you.

The rooms were great and so was the service .Its a true 5 star hotel.
There is also a live music in the basement which is a very good when you want to relax at night.

Staff was great as well. I will defitetely go there again.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights at the end of our holiday. It is in a great location! Being across the road from the Pavilion mall, down the road from 2 other shopping centres and above 'Food heaven' and another shopping centre! After a late night flight to KL, we were extremely tired and wanted to sleep. But we had a few obstacles, check in is a very slow process, the first room we stayed in had a party going on next door and then the room we moved too smelt VERY strongly of smoke 'we are both non-smokers' so we had to run across the road and buy air fresheners. However we still enjoyed our stay and would come back. If you use wifi, i'd recommend going downstairs as the reception upstairs isn't great. Try the cafe downstairs aswell, they have a wide range of tea that tastes amazing! If you are not a tea drinker, there is also a wide range of coffee.

All in all an enjoyable experience :) Cannot wait to return to KL!
