On first impressions, I thought excellent, a gem for 3 nights for €102, but on further investigation I was left dissappointed.
First off they charged a deposit of 100RM without explaining it to us until I questioned it.
Towels were stained and smelly, had them changed immediately.
Bed cover was also stained and smelly, had it changed. Both were changed without hassle I might add which was a plus point to the hotel staff.
It has potential but they would need to get the basics right, cleanliness and no fridge, milk, iron, safe...all you could probably do without, but the impression you get from the facade is that these will undoubtedly be provided.
Bathroom is tiny, shower is lovely, but it is a wet room, something westerners wouldn't be used to, but is easily adaptable to.
Stains on the walls, hairs under the bottom sheet. The thing is, a room can be dingy but if you get a clean bed and towels all is forgiven, unfortunately it was the opposite here, good room but dirty interiors.Location, good for LRT but area is horrible and smelly, lots of stares and dodgy looking characters. The staring was something I encountered throughout my stay in Kuala Lumpur so beware Western women!
I would not stay here again.

location is good as it's a stone throw away from pasar seni LRT station, chinatown & central market.
BUT!!! price is higher than other hotels with breakfast included. hotel room is fairly small & without breakfast. hotel room does not have basic amenities such as fridge, safe box & laundry bag.
the only cons are cleaniness & location.

Hotel Geo is affordable, well-located and has all the basics you need but isn't particularly memorable or overly-comfortable. The room was a decent size but the bathroom was really cramped (my knees hit the wall in front when I was using the toilet and I'm only 5ft6). We weren't particularly impressed that we had to wait over an hour for our room 'to be cleaned' after arriving 2 hours after the check-in time only to find the room still quite dirty. The bed was comfortable, however, and at the end of a long day exploring KL, that's really all that matters.

The location was great as it is literally only a few steps from Pasar Seni Station, Central Market and Chinatown. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, including the Chinatown markets, and there is a restaurant in the lobby which does breakfast and room service. There is also a 7-11 across the road. All in all, Hotel Geo is decent value for money as the location is great and it has the basics but it isn't an overly-comfortable stay.

PS: Don't use the tour desk in the lobby. We booked a tour with Hans Travel at the Tourist Centre near the Petronas Towers and really enjoyed it so decided to book a tour through the company in the lobby of the hotel (can't remember the name). Most of the tour was just 'factories' and museums' which are really just shops and warehouses where they pressure you to buy 'rare' and 'precious' over-priced junk. So book your tours at the main tourist centre in the city.

Room Tip: The air-con gets a bit chilly at night so bring something slightly warmer to sleep in.

Hotel is just beside pasar seni station and 1 station away from kl sentral. Makes commuting very easy. It's also just across central market. Also very near Chinatown and merdeka square.

Rooms are a bit small but clean.
Service is okay.
No breakfast option but there lots of food choices outside anyway.

The pro's:
+ Most of the staff is super friendly. They helped me with all my questions in a very professional way. I had to depart before my originally intended departure date and they even called my booker for me and sorted out the earlier departure since I did not bring my telephone.
+ print outs from the business centre were free of charge.
+ business centre open 24 hours
+ my room on 10th floor (Superior room 1007) was quiet in regards of outside-of-the-hotel noises
+ bed is a heaven, I slept like a baby
+ very clean room and sheets
+ a/c is grand, worked perfectly
+ location in the city centre, very easy access to public transportation (Panar Seni Station), China Town and lots of markets, and only one stop by metro from KL Central Station
+ value for price is ok

The contra's
- no sockets in bathroom or near a mirror in living room area. electrical shaving or hair drying in bathroom not possible, and in living room area only when the cord is stretched to the maximum length, and even then only half of the face is visible. For women it could be definitely a handicap.
- no clock in the room at all (not even on the TV): I am not a watch-bearer and did not travel with a telephone. So I had troubles each day knowing what the times were.
- only 10 channels on TV, only two international English-speaking ones (FOX and National Geographic). No teletext (therefore also no possibility of a checking the times).
- The security man did not know the area around the hotel. I had no idea that there was a little supermarket just across the street, and had to delegate me to the reception.
- Housekeeping (or other staff in the corridors?) was communicating by walkie-talkies from early in the morning which had the volume so loud, that I was woken up before my intended wake up time. And there were noises by staff until late in the evening, even until after 11pm.
- construction work in a room nearby. I wish I would have known that before. It drove me out of my room again after check in although I had a 22 hours travel behind and wanted to rest a little.

The hotel is certainly a good choice for exploring Kuala Lumpur - if you are prepared to do without some basic things that most other hotels offer.
