“Good location but missing some room essentials”
Reviewed December 14, 2012

As others have said, the location is handy but there's a compromise with sleep quality - do be aware that the window glazing is so poor that it's hard to believe that the window is actually closed. We were kept awake at 3am by a squawking female in the road outside (not sure whether this was anything to do with the street cafe below).
The rooms are quite nicely furnished but there were lots of annoying little things that made our stay frustrating. Our used towels were taken and not replaced, our toilet roll wasn't replenished, and one of our rooms was missing a telephone. All of these things we requested from reception but had to keep asking for them - in the case of the phone it never arrived, even though they were supposed to give us a wake up call! The staff seemed friendly but the service was not very good - in the case of no towels or toilet rolls this is just not acceptable.
The sink has no hot water, there are just two coat hangers, and a fridge would have been expected in such humidity. The wifi works well. I don't know why this is in the "B&B / Inns" category as no food is served here at any time.

This is a very nice hotel for a short stay. We stayed two nights and loved it. The room was definitely small, but it was very clean, and the bathroom was a good size. Compared to other places I've stayed, the toilet area stayed quite dry even after two people took showers.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They answered all questions we posed, and there were many!
Location was great. Short walk to many shopping malls. An enclosed pedestrian walkway is also nearby, which goes right to the Petronas Towers. Very convenient, and even air conditioned! Also there is a monorail stop only moments away.

We stayed here for 3 days 2 nights at the Deluxe Double room.. Although the room was not that big, i don't mind that at all...the hotel is located really near to the monorail stations and shopping complexes... very clean, modern and stylish.. i love the concept.. great for couples. The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. They handled the check in procedures efficiently and fast... keep up the good job! would love to stay here again next time :) hope the hotel can come up with special promotions ;)

I stayed here for two weeks in October 2012 and will saty again when I return to KL. I had a booked a Deluxe Double room, which I upgraded to a Superior room due to the Doublle room being a bit on the small side.

My experience was extremely pleasurable right from the moment of checking in to the when I checked out. The staff were ALL helpful and obliging. The hotel is in a great location - close to monorail, the major shopping malls, restaurants. The only downside of its location is that it is opposite a bar and street food stalls which are noisy throughout the night. This was not too much of a problem because the room was clean and the bed was clean, and extremely hygenic with fresh linen every day. The house-keeping staff were very meticulous!!

I stayed in room 607, on the top floor. I did find it somewhat bizarre that it had a spa bath built in the bedroom. The "bubble" mechanism did not work however, though the manager explained that this was the case with the baths in all of the rooms which had them.... I believe the hotel has plans to have the spa mechanisms working in the next couple of months.

In summary - check it out!

Room Tip: Top floor away from the front of the hotel

My review won't be as full of praise as others - for various reasons:
- the Deluxe-Single room was really small, I hardly found room to open my suitcase, and the bed was pushed right up against the window;
- the bathroom is so small you get the entire floor and toilet wet when taking a shower;
- the room and the bathroom were showing signs of neglect: large sections of wallpaper were peeling off, the drain of the bathroom basin was leaking all contents onto the floor, and the shower head would not stay on the wall;
- mostly the room was clean enough, but corners around the bathroom basin and door looked like they had not been cleaned for weeks, if not months;
- I found the place rather noisy considering its side lane location - this has more to do with the quality of the build, e.g. the single-glazed window let all noise in from the outside restaurant (which was still operating at 5.30 am when I got up), and all hard surfaces in the hallways (why do plush hotels install thick carpets?). Worse was the plumbing: at some stage during the night I was woken up by noise of somebody taking a shower in MY bathroom - no, it was from the room above mine...
On the positive side:
+ I found the staff a lot more helpful and friendly than mentioned in other reviews;
+ the decor is nice and contemporary providing you like it "dark";
+ the location is perfect, because everything is within easy walking distance;
+ the hotel seems to have some energy saving devices and LED lighs, the a/c was quiet and working well enough (I don't like it really cold o/n), but why the single-glazed windows in a hot climate like KL?
Would I recommend this place?
Not for the price I paid (~AUD 55), for around $30-40 I would ignore more issues...

Room Tip: The single room was facing a dirty side lane; I guess rooms facing the front will get more noise fro...

We stayed here for one night on route to Denpasar. This hotel is clean, modern, really reasonable and central. I really liked it and would stay here again if ever in KL. comfy bed, nice shower and bathroom. Great value.

I stayed at the Apple Boutique Hotel for two nights on a short stopover in KL. The location is strategic in the Golden Triangle, close to shopping, bars, restaurant, the Petronas Towers, sightseeing tour stops, metro station, basically all you need to make the most of a short trip. There are many good food stalls and food courts around as well as supermarkets where I got my breakfast - it was easy to get by on a low budget food-wise. The hotel itself is pretty new, very modern, clean and comfortable. My room was a single and not huge, but sufficient for one person. Wifi is free and very fast. The room also had a flatscreen TV. The bathroom is separated by stylish milk glass walls, no separate shower cubicle which is a bit weird and causes a bit of a mess when you shower, as you automatically flood the bathroom. It didn't bother me, though. Tea/coffee making facilities are available, hot and cold water dispensers are on each floor or you can get your own water heater from the reception. Reception staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I needed to print, sign, scan and email something home and they let me use their printer and computer at reception and even went through a lot of trouble to get their scanner to work for me. I was extremely impressed! The price is very competitive for the area and especially for what you get. I did not like KL itself much, but the hotel was great!

Room Tip: Deluxe single is perfect for one person
