“Little temple worth a visit near Chinatown”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

I worked around Chinatown and never really visit this temple until recently that I drop by and have a close encounter to this little temple in Kuala Lumpur.

Here is my review on the temple: -

Attraction Highlight: It is a lively temples visited by business owner for praying as the temple host the god of war, ‘Guan Di or Guan Yu’ and it was make famous during Three Kingdoms in China. I believe those that are fighting for success are praying to the god of war. Every temple looks the same but each host a different deity or god if you are interested in Chinese culture.

Attraction Tip: It is one of the temples visited on KL heritage trail. It is situated along Jalan Tun HS Lee opposite Popular bookstore next to the entrance to Petaling Street.

“Being in the moment”
Reviewed December 17, 2012

It still surprises me, every time I step into one of those Chinese Temples that the time seems to stop.
Guan Di (God of War) temple is close by to Sri Maha Mariamman Temple (Hindu temple). It is a small but lively temple. You can observe Chinese people praying and offering there goods. It is just nice to sit on the bench and be in the moment.

Guan Di temple is an amazing chinese temple tuck into the heart of Chinatown in Kuala Lumpur. The inside still preserves the old architecture which is definitely a must especially for those looking to understand better the chinese way of life.

“Very pretty Chinese temple”
Reviewed December 1, 2012

This temple is very small but nice, if you find yourself in the area go and have a look. There aren't many old Chinese temples in KL and this one is one of the few.
