“Best Western doesn't disappoint!”
Reviewed December 26, 2012

On 22 December, we drove to Kuala Lumpur and we chose to stay in Best Western Premier Dua Sentral because of the Best Western brand. We have stayed in a few Best Western hotels in USA and in Queenstown, New Zealand and they all never disappoint, really clean and comfortable and very good value for money and Best Western Premier Dua Sentral are all that too. The only negative point is the location. It took us a while to find the hotel by car but signs along the roads do help. Once you got use to it, you realized that it is very near and convenient to drive to the KLCC area and other city attractions. However the quality of our stay more than made up for that. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite facing the city. There is a king size bed in a room, a living room and another bedroom with 2 queen size beds. There is a little kitchen and 2 bathrooms in each room. The bedsheets are fresh, pillows are perfect and soft which made for a wonderful sleep. Internet is complimentary. It was pleasant catching up with work at the study table in the living room. For a family of four, this suite is spacious, very comfortable and restful. Breakfast is good and hearty with a nice spread of Western and local food with a good variety. Mr Gurpal who helped us with the checking in and out has been very helpful, kind and attentive. He was prompt in responding to our enquiries and needs. His excellent service is very much appreciated. Overall we love this place and we would not hesitate to stay here again if we are back in Kuala Lumpur.

We stayed 1 night in the deluxe room with twin bed. This is a new and nice hotel, large room and comfortable bed. Hotel staff is polite and friendly. We requested a Chinese newspaper upon check in, but we gotten an English paper the next morning. My husband subsequently ask the receptionist for it, and they delivered a Chinese paper to our room within 30 min. This is out of our surprise as we thought they might not entertain our request. The hotel food is good. The location is a bit challenging to find. If you are using a GPS, search from the ‘POI’ the Holy Rosary Church and follow the direction, the Hotel is just next to it. With the price we paid and the level of service, I will go back to this Hotel in my next trip.

I stayed at this hotel last month. It's not far from KL sentral but still quite a walking distance. The room is adequate for 4 stars property. Nothing lavish. But the wifi was very slow. The shower wasn't being cleaned properly, with hair stuck on the drain. Breafast was fine, not.
I was staying for the night with early check out and I wanted to be near KL Sentral, but for the same price you could get a better deal near Ampang/KLCC area.

To start with, its a new hotel. The design, the rooms, the facilities were great. Unfortunately, its too obvious that the management does not invest on good and experienced staffs. I went there for a workshop with an organization. The front desk Shashi tried kicking me out a day before my check out date. Not apologetic. Lack variety in food.

Stayed in a 2-bedroom last weekend with my family. It's a nice hotel and I love it. It's a value for the money I spent.

What I like:

- Nice new hotel, awesome interior design.
- Free wi-fi, working flawlessly for all my gadgets: iPad and smartphones.
- One living-room with kitchenette (but no plates/spoon).
- One big and spacius working table and chair in the living room.
- Two bedrooms, one with 2 queen beds and another one with 1 queen bed.
- Baby-cot for my 2-month old baby is provided, free of charge.
- Room service is great! I ordered nasi goreng and it's one of the best fried rice that I have. They also bring a round table along with the food (although no chairs) so I feel it as a "treat" for me and my wife. :)
- Nice infinity pool, although overlooking a busy main expressway with a bit shabby area of Brickfields behind. Another smaller pool and water feature for children is overlooking the city area, you can see the KL tower and the Petronas Twin Towers in the background.
- Nice spread of breakfast.
- Housekeeping is good. I only stayed 2 nights though so can't comment much.
- My wife tried the spa and she said it's good.

What I don't like:

- Basic bathroom amenities such as toothbrush are not provided
- Towel racks are located above the toilet
- Overall, I don't really like the open concept of the bathroom (and the toilet).
- No amenities within walking distance, no public transport/train stop nearby. But if you have own transport, the location of the hotel is actually quite "sentral" and it's close to everywhere: KL Sentral, Chinatown, city centre.
- Hotel location (and the swimming pool) is next to a major highway, so a bit noisy.
- Entrance to the hotel is a bit difficult to find if you are coming from Jalan Istana. Need to make several right turns. It's a breeze to enter the hotel complex if you are coming from Chinatown direction (just one left turn), provided you can stand the traffic jam there.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel to those who has own transport (car), but not for those who rely on public transport.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit.. The check in was smooth with friendly staff. Unfortunately the 1 unit given to us has some weird smell in the 2nd bedroom.. So we request for a change and the whole thing was dome under 30 minutes. The unit was nice and very modern. Has kitchenette but no plate n cutleries. The unit has 3 LCD tv. The bathroom is spacious and well equip.

The buffet breakfast is standard.. Nothing fancy.. We went for breakfast at 8am, when we got to the coffee house it was about 35% occupied but the tables are 90% uncleared. I guess the waiters have to be more efficient.

The car park is ample but all located at higher floors. Lower floors are reserved for the TNB staff. The ramps are really narrow... If u have a big car I suggest u be very careful if not u will surely dent your car.

And if you don't have your own transport, I suggest you don't stay here as it no where near any shopping area. Even though there is shuttle service provided by hotel to,shopping centre, the trips are limited with very a few seats on each trip. No restaurant outside the hotel nearby.

The room was large, and I appreciate that it was tastefully furnished. The hotel is new and everything is spick and span. The hotel, however, is rather out of the way. The good thing is that there are shuttle buses to KL Sentral, KLCC and the Bukit Bintang area.
